''WHERE IS HE? !'' I cry. I need to see him. I need to know he's okay.

Ace's Pov:

I wake up to the sound of my alarm blaring in my ear. Yep, this is my life waking up at 5am everyday for hockey practice. Hockey has always been my escape. I'm close with my mom but my dad well, he's not around much. He left my little brother Jack and I for his gang a few years back. He calls once in a while but we don't bother to talk to someone who left us for a petty gang. My mom and brother have always been supportive of my dream to become a professional hockey player which is great but I don't exactly qualify as the perfect son. There's a lot of pressure on me, being a team captain isn't exactly easy, it comes with a lot of responsibilities. I'm usually classified as ''cold'' and more bluntly ''an asshole'' but I don't give a shit what people think of me, they can say whatever they want.

Time skip to after hockey practice:

''Hey cap, wanna come hang with us at the rink? 'my best friend and teammate Josh asked. Usually I would decline but I wanted to practice a few things. Once we arrived I felt someone knock into me, before I could say anything, the small voice squeaked ''I'm so sorry! Are you okay?'' I looked down to see this cute petite girl with long brown hair and brown eyes. ''Just watch where you're going next time.'' I grunted. She looked up and seemed to be frozen for a second but snapped back to reality and quietly apologized once again. The rest of my day went on normally which mostly consisted of organizing my team and such but something was off. That girl that knocked into me earlier, for some reason I couldn't get her out of my head.

Sophia's pov:

''Ughhh'' I grunted as I got out of bed. I slept horribly. Yesterday was so exhausting, I spent all day studying and doing homework but something was bothering me. That guy I ran into yesterday at the skating rink, well he was fucking gorgeous. He had longish black hair with gray eyes, was about 6'3, built as fuck and was just absolutely ravishing, but unfortunately he was rude to me. Whatever, I need to stop thinking about him and head to school.

Once I arrived at school my day was going really great until I saw him again. He walked into class and I was in complete shock. I'm still relatively new to the school so I don't know anyone. I turned to my roommate Sabrina who just also happens to be my best friend and asked her ''do you know who he is?'' she laughed ''do I know who he is? Everyone knows who he is, Ace Grayson the hot hockey captain but also known as a total jerk'' I nodded and tried to place my focus back on class. It was finally the end of the day, all I wanted to do was go to my dorm and relax. I heard the keys jiggle in the door and jumped up happily because Sabrina was back. Once she settled in she asked me about my curiosity for Ace so I explained to her what happened, with that I asked her if she knew anything else about him and she said ''well, you know my brother Josh, right?'' I nodded but was confused with what this had to do with Ace. ''Well him and Ace are on the same hockey team and just happen to be best friends, so if you want me to talk to him to set you guys up I could but fair warning I haven't heard the best things about him.'' I momentarily thought about it but came to the conclusion that it wouldn't be a good idea, after all I didn't get a very good first impression of him so I decided to just drop it.
