Carol Smith (25) laid on the hospital bed as her husband, Daniel Smith (23), sat beside her. Now, this may seem like a tragic death story, but it is quite the opposite.
Carol was giving birth to their first son, Rodney.
Rodney was set to have a great life. His dad was about to finish law school, and his mother was a teacher. They owned a house in a lovely neighborhood, with other familys with infants, and Carol and Daniel planned on having a few more children.
