My Bestfriends Brother

Chapter 1

The hopper family has been best friends with the Knapper family for as long as I can remember. Our moms have been super close since middle school. They are like family friends. Me and Cameron have been bestfriends for as long as I can remember also.

I don't talk about my family much, I had a sister and she was amazing at softball just like me. She went to Florida University and then she just dipped with her Dumbass boyfriend. She never talked to any of us she just left.

Her brother is the only boy since I don't have a brother. He hates it. He hates me and thinks I'm super annoying but I just ignore it. One reason we don't get along is because I play softball with his sister and I'm the best softball player at our school. He plays baseball and is the same position, shortstop and pitcher, and he is the best at it. Me and him pick at each other because we both think we are better.

My mom and Layla, Joel's mom, always thought I had a little crush on Joel. That was true until he was with his friends Jr year and I overheard him saying how I'm super annoying and like a little dog always following Cameron around. From that day on I have NEVER liked him.

Today was my birthday and the Knappers' were coming over for diner to celebrate. Which meant HE was coming. He was going to argue about what sport was harder and blah blah blah.

When the Knappers got here our parents started talking about how I was doing in softball and setting a home run record for the school. Then they started talking about how Joel was doing the same thing for baseball.

When it was time to eat me and Joel sat across from each other not even looking at each other. Cameron and I, on the other hand, were talking about softball and gossiping about people at our school. We had a week until school started and a week until practice started.
