vinnie laid down in his bed, listening to music as he stared at the ceiling. just thinking.

thinking about how it was, what could've been, and the way it is now. how did it turn into this?

he let out a long, quiet sigh and closed his eyes as 'for the first time' by Mac DeMarco began playing over his headphones. he started thinking about how much he related to the lyrics the last couple of weeks.

'while she's been away,

living day to day has been tough'

"dude, c'mon, you can't flake on this interview." eamon sighed, walking into his bedroom for the third time. vinnie had canceled his scheduled interview five times, and eamon couldn't let it slide again.

over the past couple of weeks, or more specifically ever since the breakup, vinnie had barely been putting any type of effort in to his career. he had posted about two tiktoks over the course of five weeks, and barely left the house, and his fans were becoming concerned with how inactive he was being.

"i don't feel like it. if i'm too tired for something, i shouldn't have to do it." vinnie mumbled with an attitude, not looking away from the netflix original playing on television.

eamon scoffed, "tired? what the fuck have you done to be feeling tired?"

"eamon, you're my friend. one of my best friends. you're supposed to support me, not shame me." vinnie huffed, pausing the show so he could give eamon his full attention.

"you're right, i am your best friend, but i'm also your assistant. and as your assistant, it's my job to make sure you're doing what you need to do for your career. so, get up and get dressed, we can't be late." eamon spoke sternly as he felt fed up with vinnie's stubbornness, turning and walking out of the room as he wouldn't take no for an answer.

vinnie let out another huffed and pulled the covers off of his tense body, getting up to get dressed.

'i found her at my side,

simply being alive has been rough.'

vinnie sniffled, wiping tears off his already damp face and snuggling his face more into the pillow.

he had decided to visit his hometown for the week, in attempts to lift his spirits. he thought that maybe if he left california, his depression would stay behind.
