I sent a text to Ellie about the party and she sent me the address. It's actually not far from here.
"Mum can I go to a party tonight?" I asked her, usually if I ask my mum if I could go anyway she says no. Yup, I must be the first 16 year old in the world whose mum doesn't let her go to the simplest places like the mall or something. Well, my mum has started letting me go to the mall so...
"No." She said sternly. Of course she would. This is her answer every single fucking time.
"Please. Everyone's going. I might even meet new people to become friends with" I pleaded. That was so corny but I didn't care, it was worth a try.
"The answer is still no. You're not going anywhere." She frowned and I sighed, giving in. Ugh.
"Why are you ruining my life?" I stormed up the stairs and looked in my closet. I was not listening to her crap, I was going whether she wanted me to or not. I picked out a deep red skater dress that was two inches above my knees. I didn't like dresses two short or too long, so just above the knee was the correct length.
I waited and waited until it was close to the time to go.
I took a shower and slipped into my dress. I lightly covered my face with foundation and a little concealer before putting on mascara, eyeliner, lip gloss and blusher. You know the usual make up routine. My hair was curled in perfect ringlets travelling past my shoulders. I wouldn't say my hair was too long. More like the perfect length. I heard a door close, which means my parents were in bed. Yes. I could sneak out the house now.
The time on my phone showed 20.55. Crap I'm going to be late. I grabbed my purse and red heels, not putting them on because I would surely wake my parents up. The heels matched my dress perfectly! I snuck downstairs, being careful not to make a floor board creak. Quietly, I opened the front door leading outside and made my way out; slipping my heels on when I was off the driveway and out of sight. The place where the party was held was only a block away from my house.
I walked to the address and heard music blasting out. Yup this must be the right place. It looked like someone's house; cool it's a house party. I'd never been to a house party before, as you probably already figured, my mum wouldn't let me go to the last one I was invited to back in England. I stepped inside cautiously (since I didn't know anyone) and scanned the room until I spotted Ellie.
"Oh my gosh Ash, you look gorgeous." She walked over and hugged me quickly. "Guys are going to drool all over you." The thought of that kind of made me feel sick. I'd never had much luck with guys in the past, so why would anything change now?
"Thanks. But look at you you're absolutely stunning." She giggled and I noticed all the girls brought there attention to the door. They were all biting their lips and trying to act cute. You know like Barbie dolls... I turned around and saw him. I should've known, they were all drooling over him in class and the hallways. Basically, wherever he is, expect girls to be acting all fake...
He stood there in faded black ripped skinny jeans, a plain white t-shirt and a leather jacket. The only thing missing was his grey fleece-like coat with the hood that he always wore. But surprisningly, he looked so much sexier without it that it took my breath away! I had to focus hard on my breathing again, until the pattern was mutual. Oh my god Ashley you need to snap out of this, you hate him.
"Ash. Ash." Ellie snapped her fingers in front of my face and I came back to reality.
"Huh what?"
"Stop staring at him." She said with a frown before drinking from her red cup. From the corner of my eye I saw that Isac was walking in my direction.
