"HEY! JENNY!"

"Huh?! What?," said me as I broke out of my reverie.

"Are you listening to what I was saying? I was asking you if you're already done with your part of our report. It's due for submission today, remember?" said Nica, my twin sister, who apparently broke my concentration watching Nate as he plays with his friends in a game of basketball.

Though physically we are alike, our similarities as identical twins end there. In contrary to being an outgoing and outspoken as Nica is, I have spent my life in the sanctuary of the pages of my books and have contented myself in the sideways.

Actually, we were not like this when we were young, right before our parents got separated. We were inseparable; doing what each other is doing and having what the other is having.

However, after the breakup, everything has changed. Nica had to go with Mom to the US and stayed there for sometime while I was left here in the Philippines to stay with Dad.

It was plain hard to take in at first being just a kid and all, but we have accepted the situation and moved on. Well, not until Nica arrived a year ago at our doorsteps; alone with tragic news.

Our Mom died of liver cancer a month before.

Nica said that our mother's relatives cannot afford taking her in and continue supporting her studies there, so they've all decided to send her back to the Philippines instead.

After what she told us, I've forgotten my childish jealousy for Nica and just felt sorry for her.

With that, the whole that has been torn apart became whole again, and we were never got separated again.

We are now at the start of our final year in college and we are both taking up business courses in our local university. She's a Marketing major while I busy myself in the auspices of Accountancy.

Even though we are taking up different courses, we had to be together in some of our minor subjects due to the small populace of the university that we were attending.

"Oh that! Yes I've finished reviewing it last night. I even took the liberty of finishing yours, too," I said handing our manuscripts to her.

"Great! thanks," she exclaimed while flashing the biggest smile she could muster. "Staring at Nate again, are you? Come on! With that stare, he might melt any minute now," she teased.

Feeling a flush ran over my cheeks, I defended, "Of course not! I was just looking out for Ms. Santos so we could give these bloody manuscripts to her."

"Oh come on! You know you can't fool me. I've been talking to you for a good quarter of an hour now but all you just did is drool for your Nate. Well actually it's not just the first time; I happened to notice you on how you look at him earlier in the cafeteria. I have also spotted you looking at him over your book at the library."

"Am I really that obvious?" said I, finally giving up.

"Seriously, you could do better than that," she said before she took off with her mates.

She's been right all along. I've had this serious fondness with Nate, our campus jock and unfortunately we were both taking Accountancy and as you might have guessed; my classmate.

I didn't know when it started until I felt that something is wrong with me whenever he's around. I really can't understand why I fidget and be concerned of how I look whenever he's in the same room as I am.

Guilty as I know it, I can't make myself to confess my feelings for him since I know what type of girls he prefers; and unfortunately, that excludes my type.
