Callum POV

After we stopped at my house, Amy and I went straight to my room. While I was trying to clean the wound with antiseptic, Amy went to the bathroom to get a first aid kit and helped patch up my injuries. I noticed that she had a cut on her cheeks and put a plaster on it, causing her to blush.

"Thanks. Must've got it from when we escaped from the museum." She said.

"No problem." I replied as she gently stitched up my three claw cuts on my left rib. I hissed in pain as she jabbed the needle into my skin.

"I'm sorry if it hurts." She said.

I grunted in response as she finished stitching up my wound and wrapped a bandage around my side.

"I heard what you father said." I said.

Amy stiffened and looked away. I placed a hand on her cheek and turned her gaze towards mine.

"And I think that it was messed up what he said. Saying that your mother isn't treating you well and everything." I added.

Amy bit her lip in dismay.

"He may have apologised for what he did, but I could tell that he doesn't care about me or my mother. Decided to go out with his ex from high school, despite the fact that she was the one who cheated on him. I just don't know why he would do something like that." She said.

"Cheaters never prosper. Especially in a relationship. Guess your dad missed the fine print." I said.

Amy nodded and rested her head on my shoulder.

"I just hope it doesn't come back to bite me." She mumbled.

Suddenly the door opened and we saw Jody. Shock written on her face.

"Oh. My. God." She said.

"Jody, I can explain." I said. Amy tugged her hood over her head, cursing silently.

"You're Nightrunner!?" She shouted.

I clamped a hand over her mouth and shushed her. She pushed my hand away.

"Our parents are out and you should really lock the door." She said.

"Why are you here!?" I demanded.

"I went to check up on you and-." She shook her head and glared at us.

"Ok. Start talking." She demaned.

Amy and I took turns to tell Jody everything, except the fact that Ladybug is Marinette. After we finished, she leaned against the wall in shock.

"Wow. I didn't think that you would go above and beyond for others." She said.

"You can't tell anyone. Overwise, every goon would want to kill us." Amy said.

"Even Mum and Dad?" Jody asked.

"Especially Mum and Da-. I mean Timothy." I replied, thinking about my late father.

Jody nodded.

"Alright. I won't tell. But someday, you'll have to tell them someday. No one can keep a secret forever. Especially if it's to protect them. After all, the truth sets you free." She said.

"Where'd you get that from?" I asked.

"I read it in a book once." She replied.

"Right." I said sarcastically, much to my sister's annoyance.

Oliver POV

I stopped the recording and smirked. Not only I found out that One-Eye Cal is Nightrunner, but Amy is Midnight Angel. I noticed a man dressed in smart clothes and my smirk broadened.

"Amy's father. I remember seeing him when my drone was spying on those two. Maybe he can help us out." I muttered to myself.
