Dear Dairy
Today I got to go outside. It was nice. I sat under the big oak tree in the yard and read a book. It was called "Fox in Sox" or something like that.

Daddy got the book for me on his trip to America. He said he'd bring me something nice, and he did. I like this book a lot.

It's written by a doctor. His name is Seuss. I wonder if that's his first or last name.....

Anyway, earlier, there was a stork on top of our house. It was big, and it was making a nest. I didn't think storks lived around here, so I asked daddy. He said that there was something about our home that attracted animals from all over the world.

I asked him what that meant and he said that animals like us a lot. It's good they like us.

I was wandering around earlier in the yard when this girl approached the fence. It took me a few minutes to walk down the driveway, but I met her at the gate.

She was blonde, my height, and was kind of pale. There was a tall man next to her. He had a red scarf and looked tired.

The girl asked me what my name was.

"I'm not supposed to say that," I replied.

"Why not?" She asked.

"My daddy said not to."

"Is your daddy home?" She asked.

"He's inside."

"What's his name?"

"Daddy."

"Can you go get him?" She asked.

I shook my head no. She seemed confused so I told her that my daddy was busy.

"Is your mommy here?" The girl asked.

"Mommy's in heaven. She died when the storks were bringing me."

"That's not how that works though," the girl said, laughing a bit.

"Yes it is. Daddy said so."

"No it's not. Babies are made by a man and a woman when they-" she started.

"That's enough," the man said.

The girl pouted and yelled at him before turning back to me, but I'd already started walking away.

"You're weird and stupid!" She yelled after me in annoyance.

I yawned and continued walking. By the time I made it back to the porch, I was exhausted.

That's when daddy walked outside. He told me to go in. He was holding a bunch of green papers in his hand. They had people's faces on them, and they were cut into rectangles.

I walked inside and waited for daddy to walk back in, and eventually decided to write in my diary. Daddy still isn't back yet. I wonder where he is.

I'll go check outside the window for him.

Daddy's laying on the ground outside. He said if he was to call for help on the phone. I have to do that now.

It's been a few hours now. Daddy was put on a bed and put in a truck by some lady with black hair. She was really pretty.

There's this nice police man staying home with me right now. He says that Daddy will be home soon, but for now, I should do whatever it is I normally do.

So, I'm back to writing. There's this weird bird that visits me everyday, and I know it's the same one because this bird is special. It had a little scar on it's eye in the shape of a star.

The bird hasn't visited me today. I wonder where it is.....

I have to go now, bye!
