It's time for the interviews. Natsuchi wants me to go down with her for emotional support, but she told me not to sit at the table with her because she had to do this on her own too.

That's confusing.

The man and his blonde prick child are back. They're acting weird. Also, the man looks homeless. Doesn't he know what wrinkle cream is?

The girl looked at me again. This time, I looked right at her. She panicked and looked away, saying something to the man. Then, he put his hand on her leg.

Natsuchi taught me what red flags are, and there's a whole parade of them in front of me.

Ew

And the girl with him looks like she just walked straight out of Candy Land or something.

Anyway, I'm going to focus on Natsuchi now. She's the reason I'm down here.

I thought back to how I felt when we kissed. Why did it feel wrong? Is it because I'm so young?

Hm.... Maybe

But Natsuchi didn't feel wrong about it. She's so grown up.

I'm getting off topic-

And now I'm a tomato. Great.

The little girl is walking over to me. If I die here, whoever reads this knows who did it.

She sat on the couch beside me and introduced herself.

Elese. No, apparently it's Elise. Ok, but who honestly cares?

I'm ignoring her. She moved closer to me on the couch, so I moved farther away.

This is already getting uncomfortable.

Natsuchi glanced over and noticed immediately what was happening.

The girl scooted closer to me again. I scooted down more, but I was now at the end of the couch. When Elise got closer again, I sat on the floor.

She wouldn't dare sit on the floor. She looked at the man she'd been with, and he nodded. Then, she sat on the floor.

I asked her if she wanted to see something cool. She looked back at the man, who nodded again. Then, she nodded at me. I walked over to the basement door. I opened it, and said "ladies first." She stepped down and I shut the door on her.

It was only going to be for a few minutes, until Natsuchi was done and we could leave. The man saw and he got up and walked over.

"Why did you do that?" He asked.

His tone. My body tensed up. Something wasn't right about this at all.

Natsuchi looked happy. The people she was with, they were crying. She'd done it. She won.

"Stop staring at me so much and keep this girl away from me. Or I will make sure both of you disappear." I threatened him, hoping it would work.

"Please give me my wife back."

"Oh so she's your wife. No wonder. No one else would marry you."

"Open the door, please."

"Fine." I saw Natsuchi stand up and motion at me towards the stairs, so I let off the door and went back upstairs with Natsuchi.

When we were back in our room, she hugged me. As soon as I'd closed the door, too.

"Thank you!" She said happily.

I got slightly embarrassed and nodded.

Then, she kissed me again. And this time, I didn't feel as guilty.

"I love you."

"I.... Love you too."

Then we spent the rest of the day talking.

I told her what happened with Elise and stuff, and she told me her thoughts.

"If that really was his wife, someone would have noticed she was a child. And it wouldn't have been allowed. Have you ever heard of abilities?"

"Yeah, a few times. In books."

"Maybe he has an ability."

"Him? He's probably homeless, so how would he have an ability?"

"I know. I can't believe such ugly people could have them, but it does make sense."

"I guess you're right. I mean, if she was his ability, she'd have no parents. And even if he was her father, they couldn't have gotten married in plain sight, either. But ability users are never in plain sight."

"Exactly."

We sat in silence for a minute.

"Hey, Natsuchi."

"Hm?"

"Can I take a nap with you?"

"Sure."

I laid my head on her legs, towards the knees as far as I could get. She patted my head gently.

Then I fell asleep.

And yet I want to ramble.

*Deep inhale* Should I do another chapter today? I can, do I want to? I have a medium amount of energy, but I need to do my comms on Genshin. But they're so boring! All they are is fighting.

Ugh

And the darn Oceanid, I have to fight that thing for Barbara, and Xingqiu.

The pyro regisvine I can do, same with the electro hypostasis. But that darn Oceanid. Bahhhhhh!!!

And now that I have rambled to you with an internal conversation, I shall leave this chapter. Bye
