KYLE-

It was about eleven o' clock when I finally made it home. After school let out, I'd spent the whole night out driving with Ray'Ana, Louis and his new chick of the week Freckles. I never caught her actual name, I don't even think Louis knew it, all I knew was she had a lot of freckles. Since there was never nothing to do in Beaufort, eventually we just drove up the Richard V. Woods Memorial bridge to go to Ladys Island. Its a small little place with a few stores and other attractions. Ray and Freckles wanted to go check out a small collectors mall that sells antiques but me and Louis stayed behind in the car. We both watched our girls through the windshield as they crossed the parking lot and entered the store.

"She's hot huh?" Louis said motioning toward the front of the mall where the girls were no longer visible.

"Um. Yeah I guess, where'd you find her?"

"You know that one private school over on the Hilton Head island... Um the 'Heritage Academy' I think? Yeah that's it, I just met her while me and my cousin was up around there last week. She talks a lot but she's pretty cool for real...."

'Yeah,' I thought to myself,' I bet the constant making out is whats really cool huh?'

"But... she's definitely not as cool as your sister though. She still single?" He said turning towards me in his seat. Here we go again. Louis and I had this conversation almost every week.

"Louis, for the last time Kayla is NOT interested. Especially in you." I mentally cringed when I remembered who Kayla was into and how I purposely used it against her just today. I still hadn't even thought of a way to fix that one.

"Why not? I'm a catch you know? I'm the triple threat, I've got good looks, style and I'm the most talented person I know" He said with a bit of arrogance in his voice.

"You must not know a lot of people huh Louis?" I said with a huge grin on my face. He punched my shoulder hard, I returned it with a punch of my own and a full on war ensued. The two of us diffused into a bout of laughter several minutes later. After the moment ended, Louis face turned really serious then he turned once again to me.

"But seriously dude, I like your sister so why doesn't she like me. Be honest."

I looked over too and the look on Louis' face told me, without a doubt, he was being sincere.

"You want the truth?" I asked hesitantly, 100% sure he would not like what I had to say.

"Yes, lay it on me, I want to know." He said. I bit the inside of my cheek and waited a moment before I said,

"Well, in all honesty, I love you but you don't deserve my sister. You use women and everyone knows it. I know it, my sister knows it...Your a little rude and make jokes that can come off as...well, offensive you know? Plus your selfish and arrogant as hell." I shrugged my shoulders and gave a half smirk. I felt like I was a little harsh but his obsession with my sister was getting old.

"Dude yeah okay a lot of that stuff is true and I guess in a way I do use a lot of girls but I would never do that to your sister! I mean she's your sister, your my best friend so I would treat her better then I've ever treated anybody! Like seriously I think I love her!" he exclaimed then collapsed against his seat.

"She never even wants to talk to you Louis! How the hell do you love her?"

"I don't know...maybe I do, maybe I don't! I wouldn't know for sure until we were actually together , if she gave me a chance you know. Why won't she just give me that chance??"
