I love you, but I hated you first

Part 6

I woke up in my bed, still groggy but not from the hangover, so I wanted to start my day off right embracing my last day of daybreak. I first got changed into a training bra and some shorts to get ready for running, but before I headed out I made a nice cup of matcha green tea and sat at the kitchen table finishing it. Right on cue, someone walks in, "are you following me or something?" I ask, to who I assume is Bucky.

"Um nope, just getting my book," Steve said,

"Oh, shoot, sorry I thought you were someone else,"

"Wait who's following you?"

"Oh it's no big deal, there's no need to worry about it," I try to say with a reassuring smile.

"Hmm, alright, well you look like you are dressed for a run, me and Bucky are heading out too, wanna join us?"

Thank god he dropped it, but I was still a little worried about going to run with two supersoldiers, I thought I should give them a chance, I haven't hung out with people a lot anyway.

"Sure, but do you guys mind dressing for a quick dip in the water too, I have a spot I wanna show you guys."

"Of course, let me just let Buck know, I'll be right back,"

I felt like I was about to ruin my secret space for those two hunks of men, but I felt that it was worth it, especially for Bucky. I sit waiting at the kitchen island before the two of them show up. They are both in a T-shirt and shorts. I down my drink and we head out.

I'm trying to breathe in all the oxygen in the world, but my lungs won't inflate, while those two are so far away from me and chatting to each other like nothing ever happened. At some point, they check to see where I am and also ask me where's the place I want to bring them.

out of breath, I try to reply, "It's, *breath* just down *breath* two more minutes *breath* to the uh *breath* right."

They both chuckled at the state of me and wanted to help me out and walk the rest of the trip. I was so relieved, but my ticker hasn't gotten a workout that good in a while, so I really should be thanking them. During the walk, we start to make conversation over nothing.

"So Olivia, are you enjoying your time so far?" Steve asks,

Bucky gives him a weird look and interjects me, "Man what the hell kind of question is that, you've known her for more than 2 weeks what with the formality?"

"Says the guy who hasn't even spoken a nice word to her this whole time," says Steve,

Bucky playfully rolls his eyes at Steve but ultimately I start to answer to question. "I have been enjoying my time here, and since I can use Tony's credit card for food, I can make whatever I want without breaking the bank account."

They both let out a small chuckle before I point to the meadow just up above.

"Have we been here before Buck? It looks so familiar?"

"Uh, Tony's engagement maybe,"

"Tony's engaged to Pepper here, how did you know?"

"he made us walk down here and let them walk down a "receiving line", but I don't remember there being water though?"

"Don't worry guys we are almost there,"

We walk down that beautiful meadow and as we reach the end, the boys are still skeptical that there is a body of water anywhere close by. I push through those big trees once again, and I am greeted by the lake once again. Steve and Bucky follow suit.

"wow, I-I don't know what to say,"

"right, it's so peaceful out here,"

We all just stand there appreciating the whole environment and beauty of it.

"I-I don't understand how it's sand here, I assume it would be rocks," Bucky asks

"yeah I don't know either, but I ain't complaining."

I was super uncomfortable after that run, sweat sticking to my skin making every surface of me tacky. As we start walking towards the centre of it, I start running into the water until I can start swimming.
