The interior of the palace. It's crowded. No one's talking.
Everyone's giving each other some major side-eye.
The 3 of you are hanging out at the edge of the room you sat in between Rayan and Namaar. Tuk Tuk reaches to nibble at a skewer of food just as Rayan picks it up.
"Seriously? Your mom actually said that?" Rayan asked while laughing."Awkward." You continued while eating some rice.
Namaari laughs in acknowledgement.
"Okay, next question hand-to-hand or swords?" You asked in the hope that someone else liked hand to hand combat.
"Blades all day." Namaar took the stick with food and acted as if it was a sword."Right?" Rayan and Namaar both did Kumandran fist-bump, and Namaar offered you the food that was on the stick."I prefer hand to hand." you said proudly
"Dressy or casual?" Aksed Namaar,Rayan starched his clothes
"Only a monster would choose to wear this outfit on the regular."
"I agree there's actually no need for this much clothes when fighting, and plus, i hate dressy clothes." Rayan nodded his head in agreement he then looked around for inspiration for his next question.
he sees their food and gets an idea, "Rice or stew?"I'll take (rice/stew)." Namaar, however, goes silent.
"I didn't think that'd stump you."
You nodded in agreement
"This is actually one of the first
times I've had rice in a while."
"Really?" You asked in disbelief. Fang looks so nice, tho. Guess you shouldn't judge the book by its cower.
"Fang may look nice on the outside, but we have some pretty big holes on the inside."
"Oh."You and Rayan looked down because you both felt bad for asking.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to bring it down. So where were we? We have single parents who are terrible at telling jokes, " The 3 of you rolled your eyes.
"we're warriors who despise
uncomfortable formal wear" you continued showing your clothes
"AND we're all Sisu super fans."
You all laughed, and Namaar pulled some of his hair behind his ear
"You know, Fang legend says she's
still out there." You and Rayan opened your mouth open
"Sisu?" You're kidding, right?"
"Wanna see something?" Two of you nodded, Namaar then looked around. No one is paying attention to you 3.he pulls out a scroll. He then handles it gently with reverence.
In shock, you looked around while Rayan looked at it in awe
"Are you supposed to have that?"
You asked, Namaar just nudged your shoulder and laughed
"No."
Namaar opens the scroll, revealing an intricate design of
Sisu and the Druun
"According to this, after the Mighty Sisu blasted away all the druun, she fell into the water and floated downstream. Legends say she's now sleeping at the river's end."
Tuk Tuk crawls onto the scroll and looks at the design as well
"But which river? There's like
hundreds." Asked Rayan, Namaar shrugged his shoulders
"I don't know. But if we could find
it, could you imagine?"
You smiled in excitement and started to play with your sisu badge
"A dragon back in the world? Things could be so much better."
Rayan looked at his dad
"Yeah, maybe we really could be
Kumandra again."
You then made a decision. You took the sisu badge off your clothes and handed it to Rayan
"Here."
Rayan smiled brightly and took the badge
"Whoa. Really?"
You nodded and smiled at him, too
Then Namaar diceded to do something too. He tapped your shoulder and took off his necklace. He then put it on for you
"From one dragon nerd to others"
He said. You smiled again and gave him a little head bow. Rayan looked at the pendant and back at you and Namaar. He then got an idea.
"Hey. Come with me, dep las . I wanna show you something."
The 3 of you stand to leave. Rayan took your hand and made Namaar follow. Tuk-Tuk takes a bite of food, then
follows Rayan.
The 3 of you entered the inner chamber. Tuk-Tuk waits by the entrance and watches you 3.
You were unsure about this, but Rayan told you it was fine and not to worry about it, but still...
When Namaar saw the gem for the first time, he looked so happy
"The spirit of Sisu. I can feel it."
Rayan smiles, happy he has a new pal to share this with.
"It's the last bit of dragon magic
left in the whole world." Rayan explained while still holding your hand and walking in front of Namaar
"I see why Heart guards it so
closely. Thank you, dep la. You've
been very helpful." You let go of Rayan's hand and turned around because this didn't sound right.
Right before you asked him what he meant by that, Namaar suddenly struck Rayan, sending him to the ground.
he looks up in shock at Namaar.
You helped Rayan up and gave Namaar a death glare.
"In a different world, maybe we
could've been friends. But I have to do what's right for Fang."
Namaar goes for the Gem, but you leap in front of him. You two started fighting while Rayan stayed back . Seeing that you are in trouble, Tuk-Tuk rolls in to help. He bumps into Namaar's ankle, but he scoots him away. TukTuk
shakes it off, angry.This distracts Namaar just long enough for you to strike.
You knocked him to the ground.
However, Namaar isn't worried at all. Instead, he smiles and shoots a firework up through the temple opening....
Rayan then stands by your side, ready to help you fight.
