I'm speechless.Tears run down my face. However, this time they aren't tears of frustration or disappointment. This time they are tears of joy and love. Just when I thought this day could not get better and this day would be the worse birthday ever in my whole life; everyone just turns that around to a big SUPRISE party in the basement!!!!I always imagined of surprise birthday parties, the birthday boy/girl was usually distracted and taken always from the place of the party for meanwhile and then when they entered it later they received a huge SURPRISE HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!! Though, I never thought I would have one and if I did, I would be prepared and already aware of it.

I'm interrupted in my thoughts; Cody goes up to me and gives me a tissue.

"Thank you" I say.

"You're welcome" He replies.

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY GIRL, enjoy the party while it lasts."

I smile. I look around the basement. It looks so different. So innovative, so decorated. It doesn't even look like the basement where Kyle and I use to play soccer or badminton together back then. There are purple balloons everywhere, the floor is glitter silver, there is a chocolate fountain, the cake is of my favorite band 5 Way, there are also One Direction cupcakes, and a lot of presents. Omg, I remember those days when One Direction was sooo famous and I was obsessed (dedicated to them. Good times!)

Kyle walks up to me and gives me a breathe taking hug. I ask jokingly to him, "Where's my present from you?"

"Uh, didn't I just invite Cody here?" He chuckles. "Don't ask for too much sis, I don't have any money! Anyways, have fun and thank me afterwards with cash and jellybeans!"

I have to laugh at that. I ruffle his hair as he groans. He runs off to play with some random friends of his that I never met. Two arms snake around my waist and my heart skips a beat. I turn and see no other than the lovely Cody. I blush furiously and bite my bottom lip. "Hey Katie, having the time of your life?" He asks. I nod because I can't make out a word through my mouth. Who knows who suddenly zoomed up loud music, and everyone in my basement starts to dance. "M'lady, would you like to give me your first dance?" I giggle at his gentleman act and he holds out his hand for me to entwine our fingers. He wraps his arms around my waist which are already there; I put my arms around his warm, soft neck. The song turns to a slow one and I fidget the moves while Cody leads me on.

It's about ten romantic minutes later, my mother comes to a stop and says it's present time.

"Firstly, Katie honey, happy birthday! We have a big pile of presents here, don't spoil yourself!" My mom says as everyone laugh. "I want you open mine first!"

She hands me a large wrapped up box with its height like mine and length really fat. I'm so excited! "Unwrap it honey!" She says. I violently rip off the bow and the wrapping paper. I gasp at what's inside.

"What is this mom?" It's a very purple squared machine like thing.

"It's a time machine. I've been working on this since the day you were born. You can travel through time!" She explains.

"Wow mom! I love it! I can visit my great grandparents!" I squeal.

"I have another one for you!" She exclaims.

"Another one? Mom!" I groan in delight. "This is too much to ask."

She hands me another one. "This is a teleporter for you to travel all around the world!" I giggle in excitement.

"I've always wanted that!" I shriek. But to be honest, I don't show my disappointment, no offence but I don't believe in that invention non sense. I act like I loved it but on the inside I'm quite, sad. Just because my mother is a biologist, doesn't mean her inventions are, accordable. But seriously, who can travel through time and a teleporter?
