When we walk home, Kyle and I barely say a word to each other. I keep thinking about how Kyle knows Cody and never told me about him before I find out just minutes ago. Many questions ring in my curious mind, questions like, how did they meet, when did they meet, or how did they become so close to each other that Kyle now calls him bro and bud? I was just very curious to find out more about Kyle and Cody's good 'bro' bond.

When we are a metre away from our house, Kyle stops and says "Katie, whatever happened and you saw at the park stops here. Please don't ask me anything about you know who and what at home."

"Wait Kyle! I got to ask you something," He just cuts me of and runs home. He just made me more eager to find out, so I run after him. He is fast, he's athletic that's why. My lungs are about to explode when I approach the front door.

I search my pocket for my keys but I knew Kyle left it open, he always does. I don't see Kyle nor Mom anywhere on the first floor. I take my converses off and go up the creaky hardwood stairs and into my room. The floors are dusty and old, when was the last time she swept it? Two years? Ha. She's always busy doing her work and feeding us.

I plop down on my bed, open my purple Mac and sign in. I click on the safari logo, typing twitter.com in the URL bar, even though mom tells me a hundred times not to go socializing on twitter or Facebook and whatsoever. When the twitter sign in page pops up I sign in. I hope he is on... Loading, loading... It takes so long! I need a new computer. Laptops burn easily.

Hours Later

I hear someone knock on my bedroom door. It wasn't mom's 'one two one' knock, so it must be Kyle.

"Yes?" I say.

"Kate dinners ready!"

It was Kyle. I was right! It's his voice.

Why didn't he open the door? Was he trying to avoid me? Why? Does he know something that he's not telling me? One way to find out.

I sign out of twitter, which, Cody wasn't on, and wash my hands with my favourite soap ready to eat

Wonder what we're having. PLEASE DO NOT BE COW LIVERS AND PIG EARS, I prayed. Mom's not really a good cooker, but she tries, and today I want to go easy on her because she came home sobbing like a baby. "Mom, Kyle, what's wrong?" I whisper to myself and put my 'happy' face on.
