An Odd Feeling

A Quick Author's Note; I'm a Filipino who doesn't know how U.S college work. I would do some research, but it's boring to me. So, I'm writing this world's college from the limited knowledge I learned from media. And if something's really off, just know that I took a bit of inspiration from The Philippine college cultures.

"Gwen...Gwen...!" With eyes getting teary, Peter called out for his girlfriend to answer, refusing to accept this harsh reality.

"Stay with me, please! Gwen...I need you..." He brought her limped body up a bit and saw that she wasn't moving an inch.

No breathing movements from her chest either. She was...she was...

The dam broke inside of Peter by the thought alone. All he could let out at that moment was incoherent mumbles and sobs.

Peter then hugged Gwen's body out of mourn and sadness.

Then as Peter least expected it, a boisterous voice cackled in the background. "HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! YOU ROMANTIC IDIOT!" The Green Goblin cruelly taunted as he flew right next to the pillar Spider-Man and Gwen was on.

Spider-Man turned his head around to look at the green maniac. 'Shut. Up.'

"She was dead before your webbing reached her!" Green Goblin arrogantly continued. "A fall from that height would kill anyone!"

'Shut Up.'

"Before they struck the ground!"

'SHUT UP!'

"Buy for you, my friend... Death will come more quickly and more surely than the shock of a sudden fall!"

"SHUT UP, YOU LUNATIC!" Spider-Man ferociously snapped, glaring at what was once Norman Osborn. "I'm going to get you, goblin! I'm going to destroy you with my bear hands! Slowly!"

He angrily held his fist up in the air and shook it at the Green Goblin. "I'm going to make you pay... for killing the woman I love!"

"You're the creep who's going to pay! YOU HEAR ME, GOBLIN! YOU'RE GONNA DIE FOR THIS!"

Rise and Shine, Peter Parker! It's another day!

...Now, was that a jarring transition?

Yes.

Was that a bit cliche?

Also Yes.

But with Peter's mental stability on the line, let's just ignore it and move on. Peter seemed to get the right idea. He already shrugged it off like any other battle damage he had gained.
