The United Planets and many other major nations realized they needed Colonies to make their prices on all consumer goods drop drastically. In order to do that, the United Planets began another colonization effort.
Cody was sent out by the EIC to assist colonization efforts and to remove the few nations that might have survived whatever happened. Now that Valoris and any other Virus is eradicated due to the cure, it made sense that Humanity could recolonize G-2, G-3 and G-4. Cody would take any supplies that he found within U.P. Territory, since he had firearms that used that ammo.
Cody was a lot of help for the beggining of recolonization of the Galaxies that pushed Humanity into a type 6 Civilization. Now, encroaching back a few years later and things weren't as changed as initially thought. Some nations survived Valoris, such as Urgane and Lvènța and about 11 amongst the Galaxies.
Cody was one of the few people who helped with 200 Million worlds being Colonized in G-2, G-3 and G-4 in total. The United Planets grabbed 23 Million worlds for their Colonies, a slight bit more than what they had before.
Cody would still be watching as the Colonies would begin to settle themselves, and then many other nations from Spira also began colonizing, which made many other Major nations begin to Colonize the Galaxies that others began settling already.
He was told to protect U.P. Colonies from ORF colonies, and to defer any type of conflict with any means nessecary. He was important to the Recolonization efforts and the ORF Colonies meant one thing... they were eventually going to come back stronger tha before, but they needed to be ready.
