Secret Identities (Rainbow Quest AU) [On hold]

Prologue

Sabre and Ryan had been out for a while.

They'd been sent out exploring together, and they were finally heading back. They couldn't wait to see their friends again.

They followed a map they had made on their long journey, as they were pretty far from home.

They were in shock when they returned.

Their villages were dusted in ashes.

The buildings were broken down.

The fire was still burning, and there were no immortal flames.

This destruction was recent. Whoever, or whatever did this, was still around.

They ran around their villages, looking for two objects in particular.

They didn't find them.

So they ran.

They ran to the temple.

Someone was there.

Sabre hid, but they got Ryan.

Sabre watched as his friend was turned to stone.

He ran outside and hid around a corner, and the mysterious person ran out. He ran back in, and hugged the statue. Lightning was summoned upon them both, and the statue broke.

He looked down and noticed a few things, things that Ryan had owned. He took them, and then ran out again.

The culprit has been running back after hearing the lightning. They noticed Sabre running and followed him, and he was eventually cornered. They struck him down with lightning and he was teleported.

Sabre had been teleported somewhere, but he was alone. There is nobody else here.

He had been here for a long time, for years. His appearance had changed, no longer looking how he used to. He looked.. other worldly now.

The only other sentient beings he ever saw were those dark creatures, but they weren't friendly.

He hears footsteps and immediately books it, and the dark being chased after him.

Eventually he decided it was a good idea to hide in a cave.

It wasn't.

The dark being trapped him in there. He was in a tomb now.

There was a transparent blue figure, Sabre vaguely recognized them but thought nothing of it.

They started talking, and even closed off the staircase that had led him into the tomb.

Sabre had a feeling this was not going to end well.

"Beware of unleashing a reality that was long sealed by an ancient race of beings."

Sabre had been confused, and decided to throw an apple at them. They were unfazed.

He has tried to persuade them into letting him out, but they didn't.

"You have freed these beings."

Sabre backs away from them.

"and now.. you will join them."

They strike him down with lightning and he's teleported. This teleportation seems oddly familiar, but he doesn't question it. Instead he worries more on the fact that he has no clue where he is.

He looks around and sees a hallway. It seems to be the only other way to go, because the room he's in is blocked off anywhere else. He walks down the hallway to be met with a portal.

He stares at it for a moment before walking through it.
