Chapter 2

How did I only JUST notice I say 'they hear lightning' when they actually hear thunder-
Well uhm, I'm not changing that. It makes more sense this way somehow, suffer with that I guess.

Also one last thing; we're definitely gonna stray from canon a bit here. There's a few plot twists so far and you get to experience small and medium sized differences. Not everything will be the same but it's recognizable and a bit personalized one would say.

They get back to Rust's house and he immediately starts running around. "Where is it?"

"Huh? Rust chill- where's what?"

"Where is it?!" He runs around to every room and starts panicking when he doesn't find whatever he's looking for.

"What's wrong?"

Rust then bolts outside.

Sabre just stands there. "What's he on about..?"

Rust comes back into the house with a crystal. "Thank the colours.. my word." He walks over and sits down on his couch. "I thought I lost this thing, that would have been bad."

"What.. what even is that?"

"It's a crystal. Well I mean that's obvious but this is what the steves usually use to keep the Darkness at bay. It's like our protector." He says. "I was given custody of this for the sake of the Hero, and you being here."

"Wait, Hero? What Hero?"

"You'll learn about that later, for now we need to go somewhere." He puts the crystal in his pocket to keep it safe.

"Where are we going exactly-?"

Rust drags him outside. "Somewhere." They teleport away.

Rust had teleported them to a forest and told Sabre to stay where he was. He said he wanted to introduce him to someone, but Sabre had to wait where he was.

Sabre hears voices and looks around the tree to see Rust with.. an Orange Steve?

"So.. you know the prophecy right?"

"It's not like you recite it to me daily or anything."

Rust laughs awkwardly. "Yeah.. uh.. anyways. It uh.. someone came through the portal."

The Orange Steve just stares at him. "What."

"Yeah."

"Where are they?"

"Uh.." Rust turns to the tree. "Sabre you can come out now-"

Sabre walks out from behind the tree. "Uh.. hi?"

Rust drags the Orange Steve over to him. "Sabre, this is Cirrus. Cirrus, this is Sabre."

Cirrus holds his hand out. "Nice to meet you, I hope."

Sabre shakes his hand. "Ditto."

"Okay this got awkward real fast. Anyways, Cirrus we uh- we accidentally released the Darkness."

Cirrus frowns. "We knew it would happen the moment he arrived, if he did, and he did, so I'm not surprised."

"Well that's fair but it's still bad."

"As long as you have it you should be fine."

"I do, yeah." He looks back at Sabre. "Well, moving on.." He turns back to Cirrus. "My house isn't really safe at the moment."
