Love island

"If only I could tell her." Firey thought as he forced himself to sleep, but was unable to. He quickly checks to see if Leafy fell asleep already. "Of course she is, she's always been a quick sleeper." Firey looked for the binoculars to see how close they were to the island. Almost there. "If I try to sleep we should be there by morning." Firey quietly sighed and went back to his sleeping area. Eventually, he fell asleep.

The next day, the boat washed up on a mysterious, quiet island. Once again, Leafy woke up before Firey. She gasps and wakes up her friend. "Firey.. Firey Firey Firey!!! Our island! We're here!!" Leafy shouts. She hops out of the boat and waits for Firey to fully wake up. She picks up the food box, material box, along with her backpack. "Yaaawwnn.. I'll get my things." Firey says sluggishly. He picks up his backpack, and the extra food box.

A few hours later

"Sigh, finally done setting things up! I can't believe we're gonna have our own Dream Island!" Leafy excitedly says. "Yeah! Although.. th- there has been something I've been meaning to tell you. But I wanted to wait until we got here." Firey looks at Leafy seriously. Leafy was caught of guard by the sudden expression change, but she listened. "I'm listening."

"I- I've felt this way for a while now. It's complicated but I think I get it now." Firey puts his arms on Leafy's shoulders. She blushes slightly. "And.. I think you might feel the same way. I.. really like you Leafy. I really like you. In fact, I'm almost pretty sure I.."

"I love you Leafy. More than a friend."

Leafy tears up, unsure of what to say. "I love you too Firey" she quickly hugs him, forgetting she would burn. ".. Not good timing. Now where's that recovery center?" After reviving Leafy, the two go near the shore, but not close enough for the water to touch them. "...Thank you Firey. If you didn't say anything, I would've had to!" She giggles and looks at him. He looks back and his flames grow. "Y-yeah aha.. thank you too Leafy. Really. I'm glad we have our own island. Just for us" Firey nervously looked around. Leafy scoots over to her now beloved and holds his hand.

"Ah! What are we gonna do with the boat? Where are we gonna put it? I know we just got done cleaning up but we still need to make it a dream island. Any ideas Firey?" Leafy walks around in circles thinking. "Hmm.. we could always go back to Flower's for a bit until we know what to do! That'll give us more time and we can ask more people. Plus, on the boat it was kinda.." Firey lowers his voice. "Romantic.." Leafy smiles and grabs his hand. "Then let's go! Don't forget your stuff!"

After collecting their stuff, they go back into the boat to Flower's island. Maybe then they can make their own Dream Island.
