The boat ride

"Congratulations on the win Flower!" Leafy shouts while getting inside the boat with Firey. "Thanks Leafy! Good luck on finding your island." Flower replies and waves her friends goodbye. Firey waves goodbye as well and starts the boat.

A few minutes later, Firey tries to start up a conversation. "So, Leafy.. where have you been all these years? You disappeared for so long, where were you hiding?"

"Oh! Uhm.. I stayed in yoyleland. I was able to eat the yoyleberries to stay alive. I also found a radio but I didn't use it much. That was until I found out Pencil and her crew were making vlogs so I regularly tuned in to keep myself sane. I'm glad everyone wasn't too mad at me during BFB.. other than you."

"A-about that.. I'm still sorry for what I did to you. I should have just let you on the island. I didn't even realize my ferris wheel killed you. I'm sorry Leafy." Firey looks over to the ocean, nervous about what Leafy would say.

"Don't worry about it Firey!" Leafy exclaims. "You apologized, and look where we are now! Looking for our own island. Thank you for this" Leafy smiles. Firey tries to smile back but was too nervous to give a genuine one.

"You okay Firey? Your flames are getting higher. That only happens when you're embarrassed!" Leafy walks closer to her friend. Leaning into his face. "O-o-oh! Ah, uhm, I'm fine! Just a little tired ahaha.." Firey nervously looked around quickly trying to change the subject. Leafy looks at him, concerned. "Firey.. you know you can tell me anything." She sits down and grabs his hand. Firey's flames get even higher and almost burns Leafy. "Sorry! I- I didn't mean.. are you okay Leafy?" Firey takes his hand from Leafy's to see if her face got burnt. "I'm fine, I can tell you aren't though. If you aren't ready to talk, that's fine. But once and if you want to, I'll always listen!" Leafy says in an encouraging voice.

"Yeah.." Firey closes his eyes in an attempt to calm himself down. Leafy see's someone in the distance. "Who.. X?" Suddenly, X takes the motor that was moving the boat. "Sorry guys, we need this! Bye!" "Wait!" Firey and Leafy both shout but it was too late. X was already on their way back to Flower's island.

Leafy sighs and sits back down, wondering how she's gonna find their island. "I- it's okay Leafy! We'll find our island at some point!" Firey tries to cheer her up. Leafy turns around and smiles. "Yeah! Even without a motor, I bet we'll find it! It just gives us more time together!" Firey's flames go higher and he blushes. Firey again, tries to change the subject but couldn't think of anything, so he smiles back. Leafy stares at him in awe, Firey stares back. "Erm.. L- Leafy?"

"Ah! Sorry eheh.. you just look nice when you smile! I'm glad I can see it again." Leafy attempts to hug Firey but freezes, then holds his hand instead. Firey doesn't say anything and smiles even more. They stare at the sunset and a few moments go by. "Yknow Firey, us holding hands.. a boat ride.. finding our own island.. isn't it kind of romantic?" She giggles. Firey yelps out of surprise. "R- romantic?!" His flames grow higher once again. Not even looking away from the sunset Leafy responds. "Yeah, think about it! It's almost like we're a couple!" Leafy says. Firey looks at the ground. "I.. I kinda see what you mean" his face burning red.

Leafy blushes slightly and laughs. "Well, we should probably get to bed!" Leafy stretches and pulls out pillows and blankets. "I brought you some fireproof ones!" Firey grabs the fireproof pillow and blanket. "Thank you Leafy" Firey yawns and lays down. "Goodnight Leafy." "Night night Firey, hopefully tomorrow we find our island!"
