I started getting dizzy... Almost throwing up.
Don't zone out. Don't zone out. Not now.
Keep it together, Sam.
Everything's gonna be all right. Just breathe...
I let go of Astrid.
I started walking backwards.
"Sam?" Astrid looked at me, concerned.
Don't zone out, Sam. Please.
I can see him...
A silhouette in the distance. The man with the horns... He's walking towards me... He's far... But, he's still there. I can feel him...
He's... He's real...?
"Sam, are you all right?" Astrid grabbed me.
As Astrid was grabbing me, I can see HIM behind her. Walking slowly towards us.
Please don't be real. Please don't be real.
...
Is this a dream?
"Astrid, punch me. NOW." I told her.
"What?" She asked, surprised.
"NOW." I screamed.
She punched me as hard as she could.
I fell to the ground.
I checked back if the man was still there. He wasn't.
"WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT ABOUT?" Astrid asked, frustrated.
I laid back on the floor and said: "I'll explain later. Let's go back to the party, I promised Lucy to look after her daughter."
We went back to the party.
The music was still loud. I can barely hear what's going on...
Shawn is on top of his house.
It really took him like 20 minutes to go on top of his house, huh?"I'll go make sure Kate is safe. She stays inside looking at her notes. Don't take any fucking drinks from anybody." Astrid told me as she headed inside.
Shawn saw me standing in the middle of his backyard.
"Yo, come up here." He said on top of his house using his microphone.
He has a fucking microphone?
"You know what? I'm good." I refused.
A random guy came up to me.
"You must be Sam." He said.
"Uuuhhh, yeah. I'm Sam Wright." I shook his hand.
"I'm Adam." He smiled.
"Adam? The music store owner?" I asked him.
"Yeah. Astrid told me a lot about you earlier." He said.
"I literally met her today." I laughed.
"She told me you like jazz." He said.
"Yeah, about that..." I said awkwardly.
"I see you're a man of jazz. I respect that." He chuckled.
Shawn dropped down from on top of his house onto a trampoline.
"Y'all really hate fun, huh?" He told me and Adam.
I left Shawn and Adam, and headed inside.
I went to the bathroom to go check if I had any scars from Astrid's punch.
