"I don't want to set the world on fire. I just want to start a flame in your heart."

...

I'm tired of hearing this song.

It's 2 a.m.

I've been in this car with grandpa for the last 3 hours.

"You okay, kiddo? You seem a little tired." My grandpa asked.

Fuck. Why did my parents make me do this? I'd rather be killed by the man with the horns than spend a summer with this jackass.

I ignored his comment and asked: "How long is this trip gonna take?"

"A little longer. We'll be there by 4 a.m. The farm is pretty far. Listen, kid. Your parents told me about your condition, I know that you've been going through a lot." He responded.

Why is he being nice? He wasn't nice to me when he was... Married.

"I appreciate your concern." I said.

I find it weird how we started our trip 3 hours ago even though he showed up at 2 p.m...

He just had to spend the time talking to my parents about boring shit.

I used to like travelling at night. But after the dream I had, nah.

...

The time is moving really slow. It feels like eternity, and my grandpa keeps playing Fallout songs.

"So,uuuuuhhhh. You like classical music?" I started a conversation.

"Yeah. It reminds me of the good old days." He answered chuckling.

"Oh, yeah. I don't know how you manage to remember the stone age though." I said.

He laughed.

...

And then, there was awkward silence again.

30 minutes have passed.

"Alright, we have to stop for some gas." My grandpa said as he was pulling up to a gas station.

He handed me money as we were exiting the car.

"Go pay the guy inside. Will ya?" He said.

I entered the store.

I gave the cashier the money and said: "20 dollars on pump 3, please."

He gave me a weird look before he grabbed the money.

"You all right, dude?" I asked.

"Yeah. You just... Look so familiar." He answered.

"Nah. I've never been here before." I said.

I started getting nervous.

"My bad. I'm just tripping." He said.

I sighed.

I walked out of the door. As I did that, I heard the cashier say something, but it wasn't quite clear...

"They're looking for you, Sam." The cashier said.

It took me a few steps out of the store to piece together what he said.

I had chills...

I approached the car...

Where's grandpa?

All i can see is a gas station, a car, a long road and a forest.

...

And a man.

No...

That can't be a man.

It's a deer.
