They don't know

chapter 9

The way is painful for the water pilar. He didn’t transform in his demon form for ages. His fingers hurt and he's especially exhausted from the fight and the emotional drain.

He had his sister back! And he can’t feel guilty anymore. She had her financée back and the best thing is he didn’t kill him. He lived for years and years on feeling guilty, because he thought he killed him too.

“ Sanemi-san what happened that night?” Giyuu asked. There is a little pause in his steps, but Sanemi continues his path.

” Let’s get to the HQ and then talk about the other things, okay?” Sanemi said. He stopped and took Tsutako bridal style, while Gyomei carried Giyuu. They nodded at each other and took off.

They crossed many people, fields, forests and other beautiful scenes. Sunset came fast and the hashiras decided to take a break. Sanemi and Gyomei let the Tomioka siblings down and stretched their heavy limbs. They are currently on a big sunflower field and the moon is about to rise. Everyone is too tired to go any further and it would be to dangerous. They are halfway home and at the next sunrise they should been able to get home.

“What shall we do now? It’s to dangerous to stay in an open field like that.” Tengen said flamboyantly.

“Should I try something?” Shinobu asked “My sister has been able to flower breath. I know something. “ She stated.

“She was a great woman!” Tsutako said with a dreamish smile. “Not that again…” Sanemi said annoyed. Giyuu and Shinobu stared at each other and not a glint of surprise in their eyes. They know it. The others didn’t. They don’t know what has been going on.

Shinobu closed her eyes and took a deep breath. She let the insect breathing go and bend down to the earth and touched with her point finger a sunflower. In the same moment she breathed out again and with her breath comes beautiful purple colored wisterias. They grew and built a gorgeous cocoon, in it the hashiras. They are forming a safe bubble.

“Ara-Ara I’m tired. The wisterias should been able to stay till the morning. We are safe.” She said with an genuine smile. With that she lay down and slept. The others just stared dumbfounded. Tsutako chuckled. “ She is like her sister.” Sanemi headbutted her lightly and said.” Not again, I’m still here you know.” He chuckled lightly and laid down. He big spooned Tsutako and the others laid down too. The snores from Tengen could be heard loudly. But the best thing is: They are safe. Giyuu stared at Sanemi jelously. He laid down between his sister and Shinobu and he fell in a deep slumber. Muichiro cuddled with Gyomei. Obanai and Mitsuri are laying beside each other. Everyone slept expect Rengoku. He takes everyones Katanas and puts them aside, so no one can cut themselves in their sleep. He lays down and stares at the wisteria cocoon and sleep takes over him.

Everyone slept until luch. “Is it okay if I’ll remove the cocoon and we continue our way to headquarters?” Shinobu asked.

“Flamboyantly YES, I slept perfectly like I do alwys with my wives!”

“No one wants to know it and besides here are children!” Rengoku exclaimed and pointed at Shinobu, Giyuu and Muichiro.

“But I’m not that young and besides I’m the doctor.” Shinobu said and smiled passiv agressively. Giyuu just stared coldly and Muichiro didn’t care. He just wants to see the clouds again.

“How the fuck is this thing going  to come off?” Obanai hissed and Mitsuri chuckled. Shinobu jumped and cut the wisterias off and they exploded and glide down to the floor.

“like this!”

“So we could have been killed anytime if a demon sniffed us?” Sanemi said aggressive.

“No…maybe” she said.

“Let’ssss jussst go” Kaburamaru hissed. They began to run. Sanemi gives Tsutako a piggy back ride and soon they came across a little town. They stopped and went to a little restaurant. Everyone got Ramen, even Kaburamaru.

After they finished they continued their way to the headquarters. As they arrived it was timw for sunset. They arrived and sit down with aching feets.

“My children I’m so happy” He smiled and the group hugged each other with teary eyes. Because they lived! They FUCKING lived and didn’t die. They have a big battle to fight, but they are halfway through and no one died! Soon the big battle is going to start, but they didn’t die. Everyone is fucking alive and breathing. They even got Tsutako back!
