Max can still remember the moment he knelt down and asked her to marry him.
She smiled so wide, her eyes full of love.
At least, that's what Max thought.
Of course, she said yes. She put the ring on her finger and hugged him and kissed him and told him she loved him.

"'I love you, Max...' Is what I see in your eyes every time you look at him! You totally have a crush on him! You can't deny it!" Millie said excitedly.
It was thirty minutes before work started, and the only ones to make it to the office yet were Loona, Millie, and Moxxie. Due to the current lack of Blitzo and Max, Millie used this time as an opportunity to talk to Loon about her obvious crush on Max.
"Seriously," Millie rapidly continued, "every time he walks in the room, you're all, 'Oh Max, I love you so much! Please, I want to have your puppies!'"
Loona's face turned red. "Sh-Shut the fuck up!! I'm not like that!!!"
Moxxie piped up. "Millie is right! Ever since Max showed up, you're somewhat nicer, you spend much less time on your phone, and you even smile!"
Loona signed. "So what if I have a...crush on Max?"
Millie grinned. "You should ask him out to one of those parties Vortex invited you to!"
"No!" Loona immediately said. "Hell no. What if he says no? Worse, what if he says yes??"
Moxxie shrugged. "You gotta take some initiative if you want a chance with him. That's what I learned with Millie."
Loona looked down and thought about it. Indeed, Vortex had invited her to a party tonight at his apartment. It was the perfect opportunity to-
The door to the office opened and in walked her demon heartthrob. "Morning, everyone!" Max said before settling down in the seat next to Loona's.
Millie flashed Loona a grin, which she ignored.
Loona settled into a conversation with Max and relaxed while they waited for Blitzo to show up.

Five hours later
Max, Blitzo, Millie, and Moxxie stepped through the portal and back into the IMP offices, all of their weapons coated in blood.
"Hooo!!!" Blitzo cheered. "What a rush!!"
Max took everyone's weapons and went to the armory to put them away. After a beat, Loona followed him into the armory.
"Hey, um, Max?" Loona said, trying to sound calm.
Max turned to her. "Yeah, Loona? What's up?"
"Well..." she began, "Vortex is having a party later tonight at his girlfriend's house, and I was wondering if you wanted to go? With m-me?"
Max smiled. "Of course! That sounds like fun!"
Loona blushed. "G-great!! I'll text you the address later, and the party's at ten! I'll see you then!"
Then Loona rushed out of the office, her tail wagging.
