[Previous Chapter]

The door suddenly revealed the other 3 students who was late finally showed up. All of them were scolded a bit and told to sat down and so they sat down.

Sonic's head: 'This is going to be a longgg day... .'

[Chapter 2]

-A few moments when the 3 other students showed up late-

???: "We're so sorry for being late, Ms.Selene. We were busy on the way here."
Ms.Selene: "That's alright. It is still the beginning of a semester for this week. You 3 can sit down now."

??? sat down infront of Sonic's seat. While sighing in relief, ??? looked at Sonic. "Hello, my name is Amy Rose. I take it your the new student?". "Yep, my name is Sonic. Sonic the Hedgehog." "It's very nice to meet you, Sonic. Do you want to eat lunch with me and my friends? If you have a friend here you can invite them too" as she smiled sweetly. "Thank Amy, but I think you don't wanna miss out on taking notes of the class" Sonic reminded Amy that they're still in class. "Oh, right-" in a whisper tone. Both Sonic and Amy looked at the blackboard.

They didn't realize that the ebony hedgehog was listening to the conversation. But not like he cared. He only cared about the subject taught and about other things. Mostly Maria's promise.

'FLASHBACK'

Shadow and Maria ran to the Escape Pod away from the G.U.N soldier. Shadow then went to check the pod if it's working well.

"The pod is good to go, maria. Come on, get in!". Until suddenly the pod closed. Maria was catching some of her breath to be calm a bit. "Shadow, i need you to promise me one thing. Please, for all the people in the world. Give them a chance to be happy. If there is ever anyone who want to be friends with you. Let them talk to you. And you will be happy without me." The door was kicked open by the G.U.N soldier. "Hands in the air and don't move! Or I will shoot." one of the G.U.Nsoldier said. Maria sneaked a hand on the lever. "Sayonara, Shadow the Hedgehog..". "MARIA!!" the pod Shadow was in shot down to earth. But then Maria was shot at the same time when she pulled the lever to get Shadow down to earth. 'I will always be with you from far, Shadow..' Maria's final thoughts.

After everything, Maria was given a chance to watch over Shadow. But Shadow still didn't know that she was still here. As his guardian in life.

-THE PRESENT-

Class time was finally over and now everyone went to lunch. Except for Shadow and Rouge, both was busy with a mission after class. But they managed to get the job done quick.

Sonic and Tails then talked on the way to lunch and sat down with Amy, Blaze, Silver, and Cream. They were all nice to Sonic and Tails. Some bullys went to bully Cream, but Sonic, Tails, and some of their new friends managed to defend Cream. The result was very different than before, everyone was pretty suprised bc usually the bully would continue to bother Cream. The lunch break was over. Sonic then went to excuse himself for awhile and left the others while the others went back to class.

[Meanwhile with Sonic - Sonic POV]

I went to the bathroom for a few minutes and went back out one of the stall when suddenly the hedgehog who was my deskmate came in with a weird outfit on. "Uhhhhh-" was all I could say. He looked at the ebony who seemed annoyed. Then he suddenly grabbed my shirt up from the front while also pinning me to a wall with a confused face and uncomfortable feeling. He then suddenly spoke, "You don't ever tell anyone I was wearingg this. Tell them and you will regret it" the ebony hedgehog then went inside a stall to change back to what he was wearing before. Then I went outside wondering what just happened and went back to class since it's already time for class.
