Chapter 5

Third POV:
Lately, for some strange reason as it seems for Marco, he's been thinking quite some time about what happened at the sleepover and what Tom did the day after. He doesn't really know why. He's been in his room, trying to comprehend such thing.

Marco's POV:
Hm.. Tom. Does Tom really have a crush on me? Wouldn't seem like it though. The Box did say he did though.. though, according to Tom, he doesn't. If he really doesn't, why would he give me flowers? This is, confusing.

I walked to the living room, lost in thought, that is until Star kicked the door open and excitedly ran in. She had a cage covered up and placed it on the living room's table. She couldn't contain herself from bouncing up and down in one singular spot, which was in front of the cage.

I walked up to her and asked, "What is that and why are you so excited about it?" She looked at me with a very big smile. I really like seeing Star happy.

"Well," she started. "I promised Tom I would give him another rabbit if he did this thing for me. He did so I went to go get it! He said he needed another one because he didn't want his first rabbit to get lonely. Plus, it is a free rabbit so."

That's, actually sort of cute..

"So I was deciding whether to get a bunny from Mewni, the Underworld, Earth, or from magic."

I put my hands in my pockets and looked at her with an intrigued, questioning look. "They're all different?"

"Well, duh! Anyways, I decided to get him one from the Underworld since Tom lives there originally and since the rabbit would obviously live there, it'd already be used to how everything is, especially the heat."

That actually makes a lot a sense. I don't think a normal Earth rabbit could handle the Underworld.

"Do you want to see it?" She excitedly asked.

I smiled at her. "Of course! Who wouldn't want to?" I said as I put my face closer to the cage.

Star tiptoed excitedly to the side of the cage. "Okayy! In 3! 2! 1!!" After she said one, she took off the cover that was on the cage. It was the cutest rabbit I had ever seen! As soon as I saw it, I made a face showing how awe'd I was from it.

"I think that's the cutest bunny I've ever seen! Too bad it's owner is Tom."

"I know, it is really cute! And yeah yeah whatever."

Hm. "Hey, Star?" She looked over at me. "What's the difference between this rabbit and the rabbits from Earth? It looks like it could've been from Earth."

Star put her hands on her hips and pretended she had glasses on her face to make her more look more knowledgeable. "Well, my dear friend Marco, Underworld rabbits can handle the heat that's given in the Underworld that a normal Earth rabbit cannot. As I learned at some point. Anyways, they are also full on lava and fire proof. Not only that but it's always usually calm, it also doesn't really get scared, unlike an Earth rabbit would."

Oh wow. Well, at least our rabbits are still cute and enjoyable. Doesn't make a difference, kind of.

I glanced over at the rabbit and then turned my attention back to Star. "So, when are you going to give it to Tom?"

She perked up and answered with, "Oh, right now! I decided it's best if I give it now."

That's reasonable. Now should I hide or man up and stay here?

"You can go upstairs to avoid him if you want. After all, he is going to be here just for the rabbit."

I was startled by her question, some disappointment was felt for some reason..  I shook it off and agreed with her. "Oh right! Yeah, I think it's best I go upstairs. Uh, okay, heading off to my room now."
