//CW// Gore, lots of it.
------------------------------------------------------------"Wow.. That plan is.." Amor sucked her teeth quickly. "Great..."
"I know, it's a long shot." Rhetta sighed.
"It's better than my plan." Amor chuckled. "I was just going to storm in."
"Jeez, you were gonna get killed. You know that? You almost fucking died!" I shook her around a little.
"I'm sorry! I know, I'm an idiot." She folded her arms infront of her chest.
"You are." I cupped her cheek with my hand and turned her to face me. I offered a small smile, which she returned.
"I won't do it again." She looked to the side.
"You better not!" I moved my hand to her neck, my other hand joined. I pulled her down a little. She grabbed onto my wrists, a goofy smile painted on her lips.
"I promise." She said quietly, almost a whisper. Our eyes locked for a while before Kole cleared his throat. I had almost forgotten about the others all around me.
"Eh, um, let's get going.. now.." I pulled away, feeling my face heat up.
"Yeah, we should get prepared. The plan will be put into action in an hour." Mark said. He and Kole wore old, torn up clothes because they didn't want to rip up clothes that they like whenever they transform. It was strange seeing Mark in something other than a dapper button-up and dress shorts. Kole looked like he always does, honestly.
10 minutes to go time.
Team Marison waited behind the big iron gates.
Team RTKLA waited in the bushes on the outskirts of the castle after Amor and Rhetta flew over the gates and gave us the rope. I stared up at the massive castle, straight out of a fairy tail. Towering spires and colorful stained glass windows spanned several thousand feet. Each stone brick was four feet long and covered in moss and vines. Two gaurds were positioned outside the huge wooden double doors.
5 minutes to go time.
I have my texts open, waiting for Mark to give the signal.
3 minutes.
Gaurds rushed out from the castle, all of them. I could just barely see the beheaded Grant statue.
1 minute.
I found Amor's hand in the dark and looked at her.
"Ready?" I asked, whispering.
"As I'll ever be." She responded in the same whispering voice. Even in the dark, I could see her big, crooked grin.
10 seconds.
A thumbs emoji up from Mark.5

"Go." Rhetta said, transforming into a bat. Amor followed. They flew to the throne room balcony as the rest of us ran up to the side of the castle. Just as we reached it, they were already letting down the rope. I climbed up after Kole and before Terra.
"Wow. You guys trained a lot, didn't you?" Amor asked quietly, looking at my arms. I gave a little flex, implying a bicep where there was none.
"Yep." I smiled. We all got into position, silence filled the air.
Terra carefully raised her gun through a crack in the door. She stayed still for a second before a sudden, deafening shot ripped through the air.
"Shit.." Terra stood up suddenly. "I hit his arm.."
She suddenly stormed in, Rhetta followed. We heard assorted grunts and a few gunshots before Rhetta gave the signal for Amor to come in.
"Rush! Rush! Rush!" She shouted. Amor ran through the door.
I waited for ten seconds
"Now! Hurry!" Someone screamed. Kole transformed to wolf form and ran inside, I ran in after.
Mabuz Grant.
The king of the cryptids.
The sixteen year old who ruined the world.
He was standing there, gun wound in his upper right arm. His dirty blonde hair fell over his baggy, red eyes. He was dressed in fancy purple and red robes, and was staring at his golden crown on the ground. One of the red gems had been broken. He had rope tied tightly around his wrist and staff. His staff was a wooden pole, twisted and crooked. It forked off at one end, a large gem wedged inbetween. His eyes and staff casted a red glow on everything. He was holding a spell on Kole, keeping him in place. Terra was covered in heavy blocks of ice, pinning her down. Amor was helping Terra get the ice off.
Rhetta was regaining her balance, a huge bruise already forming on her cheek. I looked around at everyone, trying to determine my next move.
Without thinking, I ran towards Grant.
I only heard the pounding of my heart in my ears as I lunged at him, dagger first. He quickly moved his staff to me.
I couldn't move. I was frozen in place, mid jump. Kole tackled him without missing a beat. I almost forgot it was Kole, he just looked like a giant, snarling wolf. Blood. Blood. Blood.
Kole tore into his forearm. Sudden flashbacks of the chupacabra invaded my mind. I shook them off as I was released. Grant shot Kole with a blast of fire, burning his fur and skin. He yelped, his burnt, shaking body flew backwards. Rhetta took the opportunity to go for a stab, and got in a good slash on Grants cheek. He cried out, opening the wound further. I could see into his mouth through the hole. Blood ran down his face and dripped onto his fancy clothes. The skin between the cut and the openening of his mouth split open, connecting the two. Grant spun around and smacked Rhetta square in the nose with his staff. A sickening crack as he did so. She covered her bloody nose for a second before swiping at him again. He dodged this time, but Kole bit deep into his back. Despite being burnt badly on the left side of his chest and his arm, he held Grant in place. Rhetta stabbed his hand, cutting the rope.
The soft clunk of Grant dropping his staff echoed throughout the room. Rhetta kicked it away and towards Amor and Terra, who had made little progress, before he could grab it again. Kole suddenly pulled away, taking a huge chunk out of Grants back. The crimson blood poured and squirted out of his back, his muscles were exposed and moving. I held back puke and went in to stab Grant. He looked at me with those glowing red eyes. He screamed something I couldn't hear and swung his fist into my cheek. The shocking collision stopped my heart for just a moment. I dropped my dagger, falling backwards onto the floor. It was sticky with blood, I'm not sure whose. Grant managed to pound Kole's nose. Rhetta tried to stab him, but was knocked backwards. Before I could reach for my dagger, Grant had it in his fist. And then, he had it in my side. Stabbed with my own dagger. The sharp, screaming pain spread from my side and throughout my entire body. My heart skipped more than a few beats. I couldn't get in enough air. Tightening muscles, loosening muscles, it all hurt me further. Against my instincts, I managed to not pull it out.
Someone screamed, maybe me.
"Lamia!" Amor rushed to me. She immediately tore off my jacket and tied it around the wound, keeping pressure on it. I looked to the side and saw Grant crumble to the floor. Kole held him down. Rhetta was the one to finish hm off.
"Lamia! Just- Just hold on!" Amor grabbed my hand. I held on with all my strength. "D-Don't let go!" She looked into my wide, tear filled eyes.
"I won't.." I squeezed tighter. "I.."
My breaths quickened.
My eyes blinked one more time before closing.
