"Listen I understand." Shawn smirked and stood up from his seat. "You work with Vincent Moore, the tech genius known for his good looks and not so great reputation with romance."
"Objection speculation." Spencer, the one who is suing me, lawyer cut in.
"I'm sorry your honor but it's true. I've shown the reports of my client's messy breakups one after the other. It's a well known fact that my client doesn't have a great track record with spouses."
"I'll allow it." The judge nodded. Shawn smiled and turned back to Spencer.
"I had no prior knowledge of Mr. Moores history."
"You didn't know if Mr. moores prolifit past?"
"Objection, badgering."
"Sustained Mr. Brooks please." The judge gave Shawn a warning look.
"I'm sorry, your honor." Shawn gave a soft smile. "Mr. Green started working for Mr Moore in January of last year, correct?"
"Yes."
"And you were in close contact with him correct?"
"Yes, we worked closely considering I was a part of the design team." He nodded.
"Were you close with Mr. Moore? Let me rephrase that were you aware of his schedule at this time?"
"No I wasn't his assistant so no." He gave an laugh.
"So you knew of no parties or events he was supposed to attend?" Shawn smirked.
"Again no."
"Your honor is like to present evidence B." The other side scrambled to find the evidence. The screen in the court pulled up headlines of me leaving the club with two men on my arm. I was kissing one of them. I remember this night it was very long and fun.
"You see the picture shows my client out with a group of companions at an event that started two hours befor said assault. An event that is a hour away from the office where you said this assault happened. If what you say is true, my client drove to this event then drove back to the office and assaulted you then drove back to this event. That just doesn't seem like enough time. Especially since this picture was taken exactly two hours after said event." The jury all seemed shocked. Shawn looked at me with an audited smile. He's truly amazing.
*~*~*
Like usual I was in the club looking for someone to have fun with. Tonight was looking like a bust though. Nobody really was catching my eye. I was bored and wanted excitement.
"You're okay?" The woman that was dancing on me asked. She was beautiful but boring. It was so easy to pull her. I want a challenge somebody who fights back and makes me work for it.
"Yeah baby." I smirked down at her. She went back to dancing. I looked around until I saw a way out. I saw a similar face. "I gotta go to the bathroom babe." I pulled away from her walking towards the bar.
Turning on the charm I sat next to the lawyer. Shawn was looking down, not paying attention. He was typing away fast on his phone.
"Celebrating our big win?" I asked sitting next to
him."I should've known I'll see you here." He turned and smirked. He was dressed in a simple outfit that made him look better than most people here. He wore black jeans with an black button down. He also smelled incredible.
"You know me so well. Are you alone tonight?" I asked. He was smiling at me. He was captivating. I could tell all eyes were on him. It's just something about him that draws you in. I cut my eyes to a guy behind him that looked like he was building courage. I don't need courage to I go for what I want.
