The Adventures of Cress and Captain Thorne

Chapter 4: The Wedding

           A month had passed since Cress and Thorne met Lucija and Jakov. They had gone to Croatia and tirelessly searched for Lucija and Jakov's family, but there was no way to trace any family members. Their grandparents had died and their parents didn't have siblings. It had been years since the children were in Croatia and they were to young to remember any places or names of people they knew.

"I'm sorry, we couldn't find any family members."Thorne said.

"That's ok, when our parents passed away, I always felt that it was just me and Jakov." Lucija said.

"Well, we were wondering if you would like to stay on the Rampion and help us travel the world to hand out the antidote." Cress said."There is plenty of room on board."

"Really?? We can stay with you on the spaceship?" Lucija and Jakov said in disbelief.

"Of coarse, we can't just abandon you here, and it would be great to have new crew members on board."Thorne said.

"Can we fly to outer space?"Jakov asked.

"Yes, I can even take you to the moon."

The kids looked more excited than ever. Not only could they go to new places on earth and the moon, new adventures, but they now had a family.

                                                                                    Two months later

"Places everyone. Iko, where is the bride? The wedding is about to start."Said the wedding planner

Iko ran to Cress' room. 

"Cress, are you ready? The wedding is about to start." Iko said.

"I'm almost ready." Cress said

Iko gasped as she walked into the room and saw Cress in a white ballgown with lace sleeves slightly off the shoulder. Cress had on a small tiara with the veil pinned under her bun. 

"Cress, you look so beautiful."Iko said. "I would cry if I had tear ducts." 

"Aww, thank you Iko," Cress said. 

The curled side pieces of her hair moved as she walked toward Iko. Cinder, Scarlett, and Winter came into the room to check on Cress. They were all stunned to see Cress, just how Iko was.

"Thanks everyone, and thank you Cinder for letting me borrow a tiara."

"No problem, I have so many and it's not like I'm going to wear all of them" Cinder said.

 They all walked out of the room and Cress came to doors that opened up to the palace chapel. She took a deep breath, savoring this moment. The moment she was about to become a wife, then opened the doors and walked down the isle.

"Do you, Carswell Thorne, take Crescent Moon Darnell, to be your lawfully wedded wife? The preacher asked

"I do." Thorne said, looking deeply into my eyes.

"And do you, Crescent Moon Darnell, take Carswell Thorne to be your lawfully wedded husband?

"I do." said Cress.

"By the power vested in me, I pronounce you husband and wife. You may now kiss the bride. "

The room errupted with cheer and the couple happily walked out to the reception area. They waited there until they spotted Lucija and Jakov.

"There you are. We have something important to show you."Thorne said.

"What is it?" Lucija and Jakov asked.

"Here are the adoption papers for you and Jakov."Cress said

The children were hugging the married couple. Now everything was in writing. We were offically a family.
