Gummy Bears

At SFIT..

After your classes, you went to the cafeteria to take a break. You bought your favorite drink and went to a vacant seat. Then you pulled out a pack of gummy bears from your bag. It's your favorite. You can't resist to eat that mouthwatering food. You opened it and started to eat.

Later on, Hiro entered the cafeteria and spotted you where you're sitting. He approached you and sat infront of you. You didn't noticed him. You're to busy minding your own business.

He's staring at you eating those gummy bears. He was smiling watching your cheeks puffing while chewing your food. You were just interrupted when Hiro speak up.

"Hey! (y/n). How's your day?" he asked.

"It's fine- Oh! Hiro?! How long have you been sitting there?" you said while nomming. You covered your mouth. So it sounds like you're mumbling.

" Well, about 5 minutes ago. But it's fine." he said nonchalantly.

"Want some?" you offered your food to him. He didn't hesitate to accept it.

"Yeah.. Thanks." he said and get some.

"It's really your favorite. Isn't it ?" he quizzed.

"Isn't it obvious?" you asked back, giggling. He just smirked.

Then he stared you for a long time.

"He's daydreaming again.. " you thought and shook your head but then, continued to stuff more gummy bears in your mouth.

But when you tried to get a glimpse of him, he's still staring at you. Because of that, you started to feel conscious the way you move and uncomfortable. You also felt your cheeks heat up.

Hiro's POV

'When I look at her, everything seems so happy.. So light.. It seems everything stops for a moment, and all I can hear is my heartbeat. And it only shouts her name. I think I like you, (y/n)..' I thought.

"Hiro?" I heard (y/n) calling my name. Hmmmm.. That beautiful voice.. It makes my heart melt when I hear it.

"Hiro! " I just snapped back from my trance when (y/n) snapped her fingers infront of me.

"Y-yes? W-what? " I said stuttering.

" Why are you staring at me? Is there something in my face? " she asked then started to wipe her face.

"Oh. no.. I just.. ah.. Nevermind.. " I said and give her a bashful smile.

"Oh okay.. " she said and continued to eat.

Your POV

You continued to eat your gummy bears.

"Hmmpf.. I thought he will- No. Don't assume. It's better to be surprised than to be disappointed (y/n).. Don't assume. " you thought while chewing.

Later on, Hiro pushed a piece of paper towards you. You looked the paper then turned your gaze to him. You gave him a confused look. He just smiled shyly. You picked the paper and read it:

(y/n), you're really special to me. I think I like you. Can you hang out with me.. I mean just the two of of us.. Like on a date?

Please eat one gummy bear if your answer is yes.. :)

After reading, you turned your gaze back to Hiro. You blinked. He's blushing. He rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly and turned his gaze on his lap.

"It's okay if you'll say no. I understand. But I hope nothing will change? (y/-" he turned his gaze back to you.

You smirked then you picked one and ate it happily.

"Really?" he asked. You nodded.

"Yes!!" he exclaimed happily Then he fist bumped the air.

"Ssshh.. Calm down!" you said squatting your hands infront of him. People at the cafeteria gave you a look but then turned back to their own businesses.

"Sorry.. I'm just really happy! " he apologized and calmed down.

"Thank you (y/n).." he said.

"You're welcome. " you said smiling.

"So.. I'll pick you up at 6:30? How's that? " he asked.

"It's fine with me." you said.

"I'll see you at 6:30 then." he said and winked at you.

"O-okay.. " you said and blushed even more.

Then you stood up and went your own ways, thinking on how to prepare for your first date.
