Tatsu watches as I proceed to drink champagne right out of the bottle that the stewardess brought. I could care less about his judgment. I'm being kidnapped, so he can suck it. I glare at him and have another swig of it as the captain announces to us the possibility that we'll be hitting some turbulence soon, which feels like an understatement.
There's already plenty of turbulence between the two of us.
"Are you going to drink the whole bottle before we land?"
"I'm paying for it, aren't I?"
He sighs and turns away from me with a broody, disappointed look. I'd have thought Tatsu would be happier, considering that he got exactly what he wanted. I'm trapped here now and he can force me to go on as many "dates" as he wants. I'm a Yakuza's captive girlfriend. I go to take another sip and the plane jolts, causing the mouth of the bottle to clink against my teeth.
My flight to Tokyo was my first time flying and I learned something about myself: I hate it. I hate being trapped in an airplane, I hate the crowds of people, and I hate the fact I keep thinking something will go wrong with the plane after every little bump. When the plane suddenly lurches again I whimper and my heart starts to race in my chest. I almost drop the bottle, but I feel Tatsu grab it and guide it to the table, his hand covering my own.
He takes my other hand and doesn't say anything as the plane continues to rock and shake so badly that I'm waiting for the captain to get on the intercom and tell us something has gone terribly wrong and we'll be attempting an emergency landing. After our fight and now this, I can't hold it back. I'm so embarrassed, but I start to cry and sniffle, biting back sobs as the plane jerks all around me
Tatsu squeezes my hand and I don't pull away. I hate being so weak that I would actually let him comfort me after what he's done. When the plane finally settles, he lets go of me before I can pull away. The captain gets on the intercom and apologizes for the turbulence before announcing that we'll be landing in Osaka shortly.
Wiping my eyes, I lift the bottle up and have another long gulp of champagne that's probably very nice, but is down my throat before I can really taste it. I'm about to take another, but Tatsu grabs the bottle and pulls it away from me.
"Geez, you're going to pass out before we even land."
"Whatever. You've got no problem kidnapping me, but the idea of being seen with a drunk girl at the airport is too embarrassing?"
"Fine, I deserve that," he says quietly. "But you can't handle your alcohol. You'll get another hangover."
"You're not my dad, you know. Now give it back, you asshole!"
He looks at me and grins, tipping the bottle back and chugging it. There had to have been a half a bottle left, but he drinks it in less than a minute. Gasping when he's done, Tatsu beats his chest a few times with his hand and stifles what was probably going to be quite the belch. If I weren't so busy hating his guts, I probably would have found it cute.
"Erm... more champagne," the stewardess asks.
Tatsu immediately replies, "we're fine, thanks."
I cross my arms and huff. I guess I should have known he would be a total control freak. All this time he's been planning out every day of my trip for me, picking the restaurants, the attractions, and even my clothes. Am I just a Barbie doll to him? I think about the guy in the salon who wanted to buy my hair clippings and shudder, realizing I really might be some pretty foreign girl for him to dress up and play with.

Romance"What is this!?" Tatsu laced his fingers and leaned back in his chair, giving me a cocky smirk. "Your debt... ¥3,812, 850. Roughly $30,000. You thought everything was going to be on the house?" Standing up, he starts drawing closer until he's passed...
