Only Summer with you // Jeremiah Fisher

I was in my room with Taylor while I was finishing up packing. Today I was leaving to cousins beach, we've been going there every summer since I was very young. It's like home to me, every other season just doesn't compare.

"So are you gonna try with Jeremiah this year?" Taylor asks with a smirk.

  "I don't see the point, he doesn't like me Taylor" I roll my eyes.

    "But you're different now Nat, like a whole new person. Trust me, he'll see you the way you want him to see you"

   "I don't want a boy to only like me after I get pretty, that's like so messed up"

  "Well it's obviously not just that, you have an amazing personality, and he know's that"

  "But who knows, there's other guys in this world besides Jeremiah Fisher, especially in Cousins" I sigh.

   "I think we both know in your world it's only him"

  "Nat come on we're gonna be late!" My brother, Cole shouted from downstairs.

"Hold on!!" Natalia replied

"Well I should get going, by the way thank you for packing actual cute stuff, and not that one piece swimsuit" Taylor said getting up off of my bed.

"Got my style from the best" I winked, hugging Taylor goodbye.

As we drove off I kept thinking about what Taylor said, "in your world it's only him" that can't possibly be true. I've liked other guys before, they just were very temporary. I had been crushing on Jeremiah since I was 10, guys back home just weren't exactly the same. Belly had always liked Conrad, it was perfect for us, she got Conrad and I got Jeremiah. I seriously couldn't imagine it being the other way around, Conrad was like a brother to me. My favorite memory with him was when the both of us spent all summer trying to learn guitar, unfortunately he got the hang of it fast. I had to work on my own, outside of summer to be good at it but it all payed off.

We drove a few hours and finally stopped for some gas at the same place we've stopped the years before. I got my usual stuff, Arizona Tea and a bag of ruffles.

"Mom can we switch, I wanna sit in the front so I can control the radio?" I asked.

"Not if you put on your stupid music" Cole interrupted, per usual.

"Knock it off Cole, and yes we can switch" My mom said as she got in the back seat after putting in gas.

I turned up the radio as I heard a ding from my phone, it was a text from Jeremiah?

Hey! We're about an hour away.

Okay drive safe, can't wait to see you!

thank you and can't wait to see you too!

Jeremiah never texts me, unless it's for the holidays like "Merry Christmas!" or "Happy Thanksgiving!!", and especially not on the way to Cousins. I immediately took a screenshot and sent it to Taylor.
