(The beginning is narrated by Timothy! Enjoy this chapter!!)
'I'm still confused about why I felt all those... emotions'
'Why did I get so flustered when he told me that... I just met him... and besides, he probably didn't even mean what he said in the way I'm thinking he meant it,, but why did I react the way I did?'
'Maybe I'm just overthinking,, maybe I just got overexcited because I was able to help someone out. Yeah. I think it's because of that.'
'Or maybe... it was because he called me dear? But people have always called me dear, so what's different about him calling me that?'
As the two walked through the woods, the incubus noticed his wizard friend to be in deep thought, so he tapped him on the shoulder hoping to bring them back to reality, which it didn't but the tree she walked into probably brought him back
"Are you alright?" The incubus asked as he helped the wizard get back on his feet
"Yes! Well — No. As you can see can here, I just walked into a tree and now my head is pounding so no, I'm most definitely not fine." The wizard said in a peeved tone.
"Don't worry I'll take care of you! Your house is nearby right? If you let me carry you and you tell me where to go then we can get there in no time!" The incubus replied cheerfully
The wizard gave the incubus a disapproving look, "I do not need anyone to carry me, I'm quite fine walking", the wizard said while trying to keep his balance.
His otherworldly acquaintance, however, insisted that he at least help him walk "It would be better and quicker if I helped you, then you struggle and overexert yourself."
So after arguing for a while, the wizard finally gave in and agreed to let the incubus help him walk along the path so they can get home.
After a while of walking, walking, walking, and more walking, they finally made it to the wizard's cottage, and oh boy, was it quite a sight for sore eyes.
It was rather pretty honestly, it had vines with pretty flowers growing on it and it had a cute white fence surrounding the cottage and a lovely garden where timothy gets his prize-winning tomatoes from too. The inside was even more lovely, and big! It was decorated with old photos, lots of hanging baskets, herbs, and beautiful furniture that was very comfortable to sit in.
After they both got relaxed and comfortable, the incubus asked the wizard if he was going to give him a name, since it's very hard to refer to someone that doesn't have a name (It's very hard trust me dude)
"Well,, I haven't really looked in any books to give you a name," The wizard said hesitantly "Please just give me a moment, I'll find . . . something for you"
The incubus began to pout and whine, "All this time we've been walking to your house, you still haven't thought of anything? Not even once during our trip?"
"Well if you want a name so badly, come and help me find one," The wizard said while giving him one of the baby name books from the pile he had gathered. "You can read, can't you? Start in this book, it's the shortest."
And so they began to search for a name. Something that's not too long, something that's not too short. Something just right.
To be continued!
