The following is a series of radio transmissions from Weather Station Three in the antarctic. 2 weeks after the last transmission a rescue team was sent out after noticing heavy radio traffic coming from that sector.
"Weather station three to Weather station two, there's a storm in my sector, and it's getting out of hand. Hows are things on your end?"
"Weather station two, do you copy?"
"This is weather station three, does anyone read me?"
"I repeat, this is weather station three; does anyone read me?"
"To hell with protocol. This is weather station three, I am requesting help from any nearby station."
"I said I need help, someone out there please help me!"
"Someone, anyone. Please, I need help..."
"Please, I'm not alone out here, I need a rescue team; or something, anything. Please"
"The storms eased up, I can see them... They're watching me, waiting."
"I can't sleep, those eyes keep me up. If anyone is listening, if anyone is out there, stay inside for a while. please turn off the lights and keep quiet, you don't want to attract their attention. Weather station three out, for now at least
--------------
"This is Weather station three again, I went out for a brief moment while everything was clear and looked around outside. My vehicle is broken, something broke it. The engine was destroyed, smashed to bits. Leaving on my own isnt an option anymore."
--------------
"Storms back, and so are They. At least I think they are, the storms so blinding I can't see far enough to tell. I'm going to go and see if I can find a better angle."
"Jesus... I'm pretty sure they're still out there; unless something else has left a mangled corpse of a polar bear near the front door."
"Whispering, somethings whispering outside. It's just on the edge of my hearing, but it's there; almost like it's trying to just barely blend in with the howling wind outside. I could try to listen, to figure out what it is saying but I have a feeling I should leave well enough alone."
--------------
"Alone, that word has been echoing in my mind these past few hours. I'm alone, well and truly alone. Well, not if you count those Things out there.
Why am I alone out here? If you look at the weather station, it's not meant to be run by only one person. Hell, I'm pretty sure there are rules against that, or at least I think so?
Everything about this place says it was built for more than one man, there are several lockers and sleeping quarters; some even look lived in.
What the fuck?"
--------------
"Jesus fuck! They broke through the damn door. I blocked the entrance off, but I'm stuck inside now. Not to mention the heater broke, I don't know if They did that, or it was just bad luck. God damn it.
Anyone, Is anyone out there, Fucking help me. Please god, just send help."
--------------
"It's so cold, I'm going to fucking freeze to death in here. That Goddamn whispering! It's louder now, I can hear what it's saying. It's telling me to look out the window, I don't know why. All I know Is if they want me to, I'm not gonna."
--------------
"I looked, but I guess I didn't need to be afraid? They're gone, all of them; whispering included, has been for about 9 hours I don't have an explanation for any of the shit that's been going on. But maybe it's over, maybe I can get help now?"
--------------
"(Metal banging in the background) Why did I look?"
--------------
"I-I just can't. That Thing is just beyond the blizzard. Watching, waiting for me to leave. The thought keeps clawing at the back of my mind, to leave the safety of this place.
I don't want too, but I keep losing myself. For only moments my mind lets go of its hold on me, and lets what it is, take over. Its only for a second, and then I take back control. But the time it takes to regain myself is getting longer.
This feeling, of losing myself. I know it, I've been feeling it for a while now. Since I've been out here.
I don't think I'll get answers, to any of my questions. But honestly, I don't care anymore. All I know is I'm not letting it take me. There's a shotgun in the locker, one of them that isn't mine.
Before I go, I need to tell anyone out there something.
If you see them, its too late. But maybe, just maybe there's a way to survive. try anything you can think of, board up the windows, block the door, anything. Maybe you'll fare better than I did.
This has been Tucker, Goodbye."
-----------
Upon coming upon weather station 3 the rescue team found nothing, no bodies were found. Around the perimeter of the station were tracks of animals of unknown origin. One set of the tracks was a few sizes larger then the rest.
An evacuation order of the antarctic continent is now in effect.
