So let me set the stage. it's the year 2023 the exclusion zone was contained for how long that's a good question. And I arrived around well back in 2005 And from there I practically made a living here in the zone but the better question is who the hell am I and why should you care well my name is......

The name is Simon and a former surviving member of clear sky one of the many factions of the zone. Were one of the factions because a good couple years ago the entirety of clear sky we're trying to stop this one guy who was apparently causing these emissions because he wouldn't stop getting close to the sarcophagus don't know some weird defense mechanism protecting the entirety of pripyat but mainly the nuclear reactor.
But now I'm just one of many loners taking up odd jobs here and there and temporarily joining some of the factions. My longest running job however was with the mercenaries and that wasn't an easy task to join still have scars from the damn blood suckers they told me to go after.
Simon was taken out of his train of thought when he overheard some stalkers were apparently talking about some kind of strange beast he decided to listen to the conversation.
Stalker 1: I'm telling you I've heard apparently close by a military factory there's something working there in the shadows.
Stalker 2: are you sure you weren't seeing something maybe it was just a blood sucker.
Stalker 1: hell no this was no bloodsucker damn thing was bigger than a bloodsucker and it had a horns and a fuckeg tail
Stalker 3: yeah I've heard the exact same thing described from another guy and apparently the scientist s are looking to hire someone to hunt it down
Stalker 2: really well they better damn well pay good money for whatever the hell this thing is
Stalker 3: and you apparently saw it?
Stalker 1: yeah I did I was just passing by the area that's when I saw it on the ground level I was far enough away for it not to notice me but I can barely see it except for the distinguishable features obviously.
Simon: well that certainly sounds interesting maybe I should pay those science boys a visit might just take him up on that opportunity. Hey barkeep how much do I owe you this time?
Barkeep: 7 rubles but this time 3 rubles old friend
Simon digged his hand in his pocket and whipped out some rubles
Simon: here you go three rubles and a little extra
Barkeep: thanks stay safe out there
Simon: you do the same too my friend
And with one last goodbye Simon started to make his way to the science lab.
