Ann's POV.
Yelling at my father was a normality and today was no exception. "Your a coward! You left him! Why am I stuck with you? I hate you!" Is what I usually would yell at him. I hate him so much.
Sorry did I forget introduce myself? My name is Ann. And in case you didn't know that's not a normal name around these parts of the Enchanted Forest. Kids picked on me, but not my brother.
Baelfire was nice to all and had reason for everything. Our father loved him more, but with the way he loves, it was just lies. I got the truth out of him. Poor Bae always got lied to, and I wanted to tell him, but being 2 years older than him also came with the responsibility of caring for him, and keeping him safe.
I wanted to keep him safe from the truth, but it wasn't very easy when your father becomes the Dark One.
I know what your wondering, where is this girls mother? Truth is, that I don't know anymore. I was told that she was dead, but I don't believe a word that dirty bastard says.
I always wanted freedom. I liked the idea of it. I wasn't meant for this life of being the daughter of a spinner, of a coward. And with this fight, I actually got something better than harsh words thrown back at me. Dark magic holding me down on the floor throughout the entire night. After one time he promised never to do it again. But he breaks promises. That's what he does and though I knew that, Bae didn't. Bae trusted him.
One evening just as the sun was setting, Bae and that monster headed out the door. I was told to stay inside and be good. Of course I didn't listen! Why would I?
They came to an empty clearing and they started to talk. I couldn't hear them, but then Bae opened his hand and what I saw amazed me. A magic bean that could take you to any place in any realm. Bae threw it on the ground and when he was tugging at our dad's sleeve, loose soil broke out on one of his feet and the only thing keeping Bae from not going down in the portal, was the fact that his hand was being gripped by our fathers hand. He was slipping though. I jumped up from behind the rock where I was hiding, and screamed for Bae.
The last thing I heard before everything became a big blur was "Your a coward!" From Bae, and then I woke up behind the rock. I looked up where the portal had once been, and there was just a pit. Both were gone.
I never dared to speak of his name, but when I climbed the one tree nearest to me, and only saw 2 stars in the sky with a crescent moon, I started to mutter. "I wish Bae had never trusted him. Well now I know and an soon everyone else will know it too, that Rumplestilitskin cannot be trusted."
Suddenly the second star to the right gleamed a little bit and the words that I spoke changed everything. I didn't mean to speak the words, but the words just escaped from my throat. "I believe. I want to go to where I am safe. So I believe that it is possible."
A flying figure came swooping down from the sky and looked me right in my green eyes and it took my hands and dragged me into the sky to a dangerous and wonder filled place called Neverland.
