Team NNBX (Season 1)

Episode 3: Training Begins

Narration
The masters led the students into a large training warehouse, inside they would battle other students in order to gauge their skill levels. All students were to sit in the seats along the walls where a master would randomly select someone. They were given 25 minutes to get to know one another and explain their own skills and all that.

25 minutes have passed after introductions

Juno's POV
The chances of being chosen are low due to there being many of us. The students were ordered to sit with their assigned teams, therefor I was sitting next to Myrina and Jensen. As the first name was called, my heart sunk. "Juno Mentic." He called. My team looked at me as Jensen smirked. "You got this." He told me before patting me on the back. As I stepped down and into the arena, my opponent was far bigger than I was...

Jensen's POV
How in the world in Juno going to win this match? That guy is like... twice his size! I watched as Juno stood ready, his opponent stood ready as well as the masters explained the rules. "There is no use of magic due to you all just receiving them, no weapons other than yourself, and fight honorably!" A brief moment of silence filled the room until the masters yelled "FIGHT!"

Narration
Juno's opponent charged forward with sudden speed, almost managing to tackle Juno to the ground. However, Juno managed to jump over his opponent before dive kicking him onto his back.

Myrina's POV
He's good. I think to myself, I wasn't expecting Juno to make it past that first attack. "Do you think he'll win?" I asked Jensen, he shrugged and placed his index and thumb under his chin. "It's tough to say, his opponent is obviously more stronger physically." He replied. I smiled, "Thats right, but if Juno can outsmart him..."

Juno's POV
I was slammed into the wall, after taking a step back, my opponent charged me again attempting to should ram me. This fucker... I managed to dash to his left, and spinning around before sweeping him off his feet and kicking him back. He crashed into the ground and began to get up as if nothing happened.

"You're good... but we all know... strength beats everything." He told me, I only smirked. "You're wrong, the smarter person always wins." "Hah! You haven't even given me a scratch!" He then charged me again, raising his fist. I ducked under his fist as he punched the wall, "You're.Not.A.Worthy.Opponent!!!" I yelled as I punched his generation maker. He collapsed to the floor in pain as I stood over him. "Now you see? The smarter person always wins."

Xiumin's POV
Interesting... Juno has a good amount of self confidence in his abilities. Its almost as if he knew his opponent was going to attack like that again... well, maybe we'll see if he can continue to put on this show for us. "Xiumin Kong!" The masters called. I stepped forward confident in myself as Juno walked past me. "Don't lose." He told me. I smiled, "Lose? Please."

My opponent was a short girl, she seemed to be an easy picking. Once the fight started, she ran forward towards me. I threw a punch, but she simply slid under me and kicked the back of my head. I spun around and kicked towards her only to be countered by her surprisingly strong arms and kicked in the stomach.

Myrina's POV
"Xiumin's losing" Juno said as he sat down. Jensen and I looked over towards him "No kidding." I replied. As we all turn back to Xiumin. He was running towards he girl, jumping into the air he tried kicking her again, but she jumped over his kick and spun around, hitting him across his face twice with her kicks.

Xiumin fell to the ground and was declared the loser of the fight. As he sat back down, Juno began laughing. "I said don't lose." He mocked, Xiumin flipped him off and sat down as well.

Narration
The rest of the day consisted of constant fighting between the students. After a week, as promised to them, they moved into new barracks with their teams. Myrina and the others entered their barracks which was located by the forest trail beside another barrack. They were spread apart with two barracks every 120 or so feet.

Juno sat at a table, he pulled out a book and began reading while Xiumin laid in his bed. Jensen began unpacking his equipment, placing items into drawers. Myrina sat on the table beside Juno as she looked at everyone else. "Jensen, you seem like a nice person. Do you want to play a game of chess?" She asked, Jensen smirked, "Alright, you're on!" He replied. The two of them set up the table and match as Xiumin began to close his eyes.

As they finally finished the match, Myrina cried out in victory as Jensen only smiled and laughed. Juno was still reading, however he was now writing in a small notebook that was placed on the table. "Whatcha got there?" Myrina asked curiously, Juno quickly pulled the notebook away and closed it, "Nothing." He replied before placing it and the book into his bag. Myrina sighed, "C'mon, we're a team! Theres no need to be so secretive!" She said trying to grab his bag. Juno pulled away and made his way to his own bed before laying down with his bag at the corner.

Myrina's POV
I don't know what his problem is. "Just leave him be Myrina." Jensen tells me, I nod my head before laying in my bed as well. Jensen flips off the light switch and the room goes dark. My eyes open the next morning to the smell of breakfast cooking. I sat up from the bed and notice that everyone has already left their beds. Xiumin is sitting at the table cleaning his sword, "Where are the others?" I ask him, he looks up at me and places the cloth onto the table.

"Jensen is outside working on his swordsmen ship skills. Juno is making us breakfast." He replies. "Juno can cook?" "Surprisingly yeah." I stand up and peek into the kitchen where Juno is placing plates onto the dining table and on these plates are pancakes, bacon, eggs, sausage, and more.

Jensen's POV
I fell to the ground from exhaustion, breathing heavily, I stare at the sky. "C'mon Jensen... for your family!" I tell myself before finally standing up. The straw dummy stares at me blankly before I jump at it with my two arm blades.

Xiumin's POV
I had named my sword after my last love. She was quite an angel, but she left me behind and continued on with life. Eventually, everyone had gathered to eat. As we ate, we surprisingly got along for a while. Exchanging compliments and questions of one another.
