I'm sorry if this is in poor taste, I just really needed to write this as a way to cope. I'm hurting and really needed a way to just unleash all of my sorrow... so here's this short story of the end of our beloved patron warrior.

Techno laid silently in his bed, staring off at the wall before him. He just stared, a sorrowful expression on his face. Phil quietly slipped into the doorway, a poppy in his hand, "H-hey... Techno..." he smiled half-heartedly. His red cheeks and puffy eyes were a clear signal that he'd been crying. "T-Tommy got you this... h-he says he hopes you get better soon."

Techno patted the spot on his bed beside him, "I wish I could've said goodbye to everyone..." He glanced down at his bedsheets, frowning. "I wish I had more time," he muttered. "When I'm gone..." He glanced up at Philza, "I want you to promise me you'll look after the syndicate... Promise me you'll look after them?"

"I-I will Techno, I promise I'll keep them safe," he spoke eagerly.

"G-good," he mumbled and placed his hand on Phil's shoulder, "They'll need a strong leader... I'm trusting you to finish what we started."

Phil nodded, "I'll do my best," tears dribbled down his cheeks and off his chin, "D-do you need anything... anything at all?"

He shook his head, "You've given me more than I could ever ask for, Phil... I think" he paused, glancing down then back up to Philza, "I think I'm ready..."

Phil gripped onto Techno's hand, "W-we'll miss you... I-I'll miss you."

With shaking arms, Techno pulled Phil into a hug, "I'll miss you too, dad." He laid back down and smiled through teary eyes, "I'll be watching." He relaxed and let out one final breath, "I love you." The remaining air in his lungs rattled out until none remained.

Cold air swept around Techno, he stood atop the mountain outside his home, watching over the scene below, "Long time no see," a familiar voice called from behind him.

Techno turned around, spotting the young Enderian he'd grown so close to. The boy's hair was a disheveled mess, his flesh, a dull mess, and the gash across his ruined suit was especially dark, having long dried, "Ghostboo?"

He walked forward and stood beside him, "I've been waiting for a long time," he uttered and sat on the edge of the cliff, "I wanted to be the first to greet you... Not that anybody else is here... just me," he sighed and glanced up at the man, "When I first met you, I never thought this day would come, but when I learned of your fate... I wanted to stay as close as I could to you, just so I could be here now if you needed me. It's not an easy adjustment. learning to be dead..." he glanced down, kicking his feet, "I tried getting Schlatt to say hi... but he still hates you."

Techno chuckled, sitting down on the edge "So what happens now?"

"You... roam the world until you fade... that's what I've been doing. Since no one seems to want me around anymore."

"Ranboo..." he muttered, sighing.

He shook his head, "It's alright, I've already accepted it by this point." he stood up and turned around, "Come on, there's so much to show you."

Rest in peace, Techno, you'll be missed.
