Days turned into a week, a week turned into weeks, and before long ryan had been sick for a month, not what you want when you're set to tour in another month, and at the rate this was going he was gonna be sick for that too.
Everyday he took the same medicine, rested, tried to work on something, anything, but his migraine would get in the way, eventually reaching the point of messing with his eyes.Jack and cat were the most worried, Adam didn't seem too worried though, he worried most about the consistent nightmares Ryan had, he sort of knew what was happening at least.
Jack walked up to Adam who sat in ryans doorway just to check on him and tapped his shoulder "Adam.." Adam turned around "hm? Yeah jack?" "Why aren't you worried about ryan? It's been a month, if not longer of this and you haven't bat an eye. All you care about is that stupid nightmare he keeps having." he wasnt about to have this conversation.
All Adam could do was sigh and walk into the living room as Jack spat at him
"that's it? That's all you have to say? Why don't you ca-"
''Jack, sit and i'll explain'' he said with a tinge of regret. Jack stood for a minute before reluctantly sitting next to his brother. The two looked at the floor in opposite directions, neither one daring to look at the other, how would Adam be able to put this? He took a breath before mustering up enough courage to tell Jack
"alright, you wanna know why?"
"yeah.." was all Jack could mutter back through his palm"well, it's because i've been sick in the same way before.. You were probably too young and weren't around while it happened, it wasn't hard to keep you occupied for a couple weeks"
he sighed and chuckled to himself a little before continuing
''I had a similar nightmare too.. I know he will get better in time, i just- don't know if he knows how too"
he muttered that last part, barely audible. Jack could only stare at Adam, "that's it? That's the only reason you were worried?"
"jack i-"
"no- stop. Is this more of that fucking stupid "mirror" shit that you keep going on about? I swear you're losing your damn mind Adam, what's gotten into you?!"Adam could only sit as Jack spat at him about how ridiculous he sounded, Unfortunately luck wasn't on Jack's side with this one.

Silence filled the short car ride back to Ryan and Jack's apartment, the three brothers had run out to grab some more medicine for Ryan, some lunch, and gas for the car.
Adam glanced in the backseat at Ryan every now and then, he looked as though he had only gotten worse, and Jack who sat in the passenger seat.. Just wouldn't talk to him after their little quarrel earlier that day.He understood why Jack was so pissed off, it did sound ridiculous, he did care about Ryan, but the only way he could get through to Jack is to just let Ry slip away until it eventually happened.
Adam parked the car, grabbed what they had picked up and started off to the apartment, Jack helping Ryan right behind him.
It took a few extra minutes walking down to the apartment after what felt like an eternity on the elevator, but luckily Austin had already met them there and left the door unlocked. The trio stepped in, set down their lunch and got Ryan onto the couch, bringing over his working supplies and medicine to at least try and get something done, it wasn't very likely.
Ryan sat with Austin on the couch, he had volunteered to try and help while Adam and Jack worked on their own things which was nice, it helped out and gave them a bit of time to just hang out.The two started off slow but eventually found a bit of a rhythm, sorting papers and files, writing down ideas and actually managed to get a decent amount of work in. it helped the other two brothers had head out so they could try and talk again, it left it nice and quiet for them which only improved their workflow.
Then they hit a block
Austin peered over at Ryan who was almost slumped over, his posture had gotten worse, his typing and movement slowed a bit, he had probably overworked himself, at least that's what Austin desperately hoped had happened.
His suspicions seemed to have been correct as Ryan seemed to nod off, exhausted, that wouldn't last long though.Austin shifted to help clean up a bit so ryan could rest but froze in panic as he watched Ryan reach out to a paper drearily and collapse, dropping his computer and slamming his head against the coffee table with a large thud.
His heart dropped, he froze, and sat in silence as Ryan laid limply on the hardwood floor.
Luckily the shock wore off quickly enough for him to lift Ryan from the floor and inspect him, he bled a bit on the side of his head from the fall and his breath was a bit shallow, though he seemed to be alright other than that.
As soon as Austin could compose himself enough to grab his phone he rang Adam, hoping and praying for an answer from him.
With his luck adam picked up"Hello?"
"Adam, you and jack gotta get back here.. Now.." he sounded shaky and concerned, his voice wavered as he spoke "something happened with ryan, hes out cold right now but- h-he.. Ill just tell you when you get here.."
Adam quickly told jack what happened and said they were on their way before hanging up, god Austin hoped they would be back soon, something was seriously wrong with ryan.. More than him just passing out.
He didn't know where to even begin with it.
