Everyone was shocked.
"He snapped..." Rengoku said. His smile was gone and replaced with a frown of fear and worry.
"Shinazugawa, that was very unflamboyant, saying that to Tomioka-san," Uzui commented.
"What... what just happened?" Not even Muichiro could forget what happened.
"Whatever! It's good he's gone!" Sanemi said. He was lying, tears were beginning to form in his eyes.
"Shinazugawa! It's not good! This lowers our chances of defeating the Twelve Kizuki and Muzan!" Gyomei yelled, his booming voice shaking the ground near him.
"I know! I just don't want to believe he'd run away like this!" Sanemi had tears running down his face, and his voice had begun to crack. Clearly, he wasn't alright.
"We need to explain what happened to Oyakata-sama once he comes by," Obanai said.
"The master has arrived." Two children said in sync. Kagaya came out and the hashiras immediately bowed.
"It's a lovely day today, isn't it? Is everyone here?" Kagaya asked.
"Oyakata-sama, I am pleased to hear that you are in good health on this lovely day," Gyomei said.
"Arigato, Himejima-san." Kagaya thanked Gyomei.
"Oyakata-sama, may I speak?" Sanemi asked.
"Yes, you may," Kagaya granted permission. Sanemi explained everything to him. "Well, we should go look for him. I will postpone the hashira meeting for a week. We will have a meeting every two weeks until we can find Tomioka-san."
"Yes, Oyakata-sama." All the hashira said.
"Please, go search now." He requested. The hashira stood up and began looking for Giyuu around the headquarters.
Meanwhile
Giyuu continued running until he reached his estate.
"I need to run away and hide. I won't tell anyone where I'll be going. I'll leave a hidden note though. I wonder if they'll find it." Giyuu thought to himself. He went inside, packed his things, wrote a note, hid it, and was just about to leave until he had realized he forgot something. He went back to his room and grabbed a small box. Inside were water and animal-themed bracelets and necklaces. From his friends and sister. Who were all dead. He stuffed the box into his bags and left.
Back to the Hashiras
Sanemi went to Giyuu's estate to find him there, but Giyuu had left long before. He then went to the river, which is where Giyuu normally went when he got mad. He was nowhere to be found. Sanemi, in a rage, ran back to his estate and slammed the front door behind him as Shinobu passed by. He began to yell.
"GODD***IT!! WHY DIDN'T I TELL HIM HOW I FEEL ABOUT HIM!" Sanemi screamed as he began to punch the wall with all of his strength. He kept at it until his hand was nearly broken. He ran to his bedroom, on the verge of having a breakdown. He laid down on his futon (a Japanese bed) and had his breakdown. Eventually, he fell asleep. Later, Genya came by to check on his brother and saw him lying in his futon. He figured he was asleep so he said no words and left the room. Sanemi was feeling that it was his fault for Giyuu running away like that since he was having a nightmare about it. The only thing that he wants is to apologize to Giyuu and tell him he never hated him...
That he was mean to Giyuu because he loved him.
