Shinobu came to Sanemi's estate and knocked politely on the door.
"Moshi moshi!" She called. Sanemi came and opened the door, not looking like he got any sleep. (Ok, I know demon slayers slay demons at night but they need at least some sleep don't they? So yea) "Ara ara Shinazugawa-san, you should be getting more rest." Sanemi gave her a look and realized what, or who, Sanemi was thinking about. "HE'S NOT DEAD KOCHO!" Sanemi cut her off. "I don't want to believe it! Didn't he leave behind some sort of clue? Maybe one of those kids with the enhanced senses could help?" He argued.
"Shinazugawa-san... Tanjiro can't detect another scent matching Giyuu other than the estate, Zenitsu can't hear where he could be, and Inosuke can't sense anything either." Shinobu informed.
"Whatever... I'll just stay in here until I get another mission," Sanemi said, closing the door and walking to his room. I plopped onto his futon and began thinking about Giyuu. The one time he didn't yell at him...
3 years ago... on a mission regarding a lowermoon
"The moon is beautiful isn't it?" Giyuu asked. His ocean blue eyes shone brightly in the moonlight. Sanemi blushed a bit at the sight of his eyes.
"Yeah, it is," Sanemi replied. "Like you." He said out loud. Giyuu looked at Sanemi, confused. Sanemi realized he said that out loud. "Um- you heard nothing." He said. Giyuu let out a small laugh and smiled. His smile was something that had never been seen before. Not even by Tanjiro or the others.
Back to the present time
He had realized that Giyuu had loved him, and he was too stupid to know what the phrase meant. Why hadn't he noticed it before? Now he was sure that the love Giyuu had for Sanemi was gone. He started crying into his pillow. He didn't care if he was kicked from the Demon Slayer Corp. Or if he was badly injured. All he wanted was to see Giyuu. A few more days passed and Sanemi had barely gotten any sleep. He had gotten up and put on his haori right when someone busted through the door, shaking the house.
"Onii-chan!" Genya shouted. "Hurry up and get ready! It's a super important meeting today!"
"What's going on?" Sanemi asked. "It's not like-"
"Muichiro found a clue as to where Giyuu might have gone to!"
