~Niall's POV~

"Ary c'mon!" I yell up the stiars. I can't believe that in a week or so there is going to be a baby in the house. It's a weird feeling. Ary jogs down the stairs. "What on earth would they still need?" She asks. "I have a list" I tell her. "I gotta start painting in the nursury Niall why do I have to go?" She asks. "Because I don't know what to buy for a baby!" I tell her. "Fine but I want a hug" She pouts. I smirk and wrap my arms around her. She gives me a quick kiss and walks with me out to the car. I hand Ary the list and start the car. "Ok seriously 9 months and they didn't buy diapers. They're making us do this." She says. I laugh and turn the corner. "Do they know if it's a girl or a boy?" I ask. "I do and they do but I'm not allowed to tell" I tell him. "Hey you said no secrets." I laugh. "Fine I'll tell you but you have to promise not to tell Ryleigh and Harry that I told you, and you can't you tell anyone else" She says. I nod waiting for her to tell me. "It's a girl" She squeals. "That's great!" I tell her. Ary's phone starts ringing on her lap. She picks it up and answers. "Hey!" She says. "What!" She says. "Do you want us to buy the stuff still or go to the hospital?" She asks. "Yea ok I'll see you later" She finishes and hangs up. "who was that?"I ask. "Harry.....Ryleigh's water broke" Ary says. "What!" I say in disbelief. "Yea but they still want us to get the stuff.....damn-it" Ary says. "What?" I ask. "I didn't even get to start on the painting!" She says. "Ary, it's fine you can do it later" I tell her and rub her arm. I can feel her shaking. "Are you ok?" I ask. "I'm just..nervous I guess" She says. "It's fine" I tell her. I pull into the supermarket's parking lot and park the car. We quickly hop out of the car and make our way into the supermarket. We decided to each take some of the things and split up. I grab the thing I agreed to get and head to the front of the store. Ary finds me and we walk to the check out. We quickly buy the stuff and head back out to the car. "You better drive like a maniac" Ary says and buckles up. I laugh and start the car. Ary pulls out her phone and starts texting someone. "Whatchya doin?" I ask. "Texting my brother" She says. "Isn't it your mom's birthday today?" I ask. "Yea just don't talk about it" She says and looks out the window. I pull over and shut off the car. "What are you doing?" She asks. "Why don't you like your parents? Everytime they're mentioned you either walk away, try to change the subject, or just tell us not to talk about them." I ask. "Niall, I really don't want to talk about this ok" She says. "We're not going to move until you do" I tell her. "Niall James Horn my friend could be giving birth right now and all you care about is what happened between me and my parents!" She yells at me. "Ary I care about you and I just need to know" I tell her. She takes a deep breath and looks up at me. She starts explaining everything to me. As soon as she finishes I engulf her into a hug. "I'll always want you and protect you" I whisper to her. She pulls away and wipes tears from her eyes. "Can we go now?" She asks. I nod and start the car. We drive to the hospital in silence except for the couple of sniffles from Ary. I pull into the hospital parking lot and park the car. We get out of the car and walk hand in hand into the hospital. We ask for Ryleigh at the front desk and walk into the elevator. "Am I shaking?" Ary asks. I wrap my arms around her. "Yea a little" I tell her. "I love you Niall" She whispers. "I love you too" I whisper to her. She looks up at me and smiles. I look down at her and return her smile. The elevator doors open up. We step out and walk down the hall to the waiting room. As soon as we step in the lads turn and give us smiles. Ary lets go of my hand and walks over to Liam.

~Ary's POV~

I let go of Niall's hand and walk over to Liam. "Have you been crying?" He asks. "Maybe but that's not important" I mumble and wrap my arms around his torso. He wraps his arms around me and rests his chin on my head. "So how's Ryleigh?" I ask. "I don't know" He says. I let go of him and sit down in a chair. This is all so confusing it might be the best day, the worst day, or just a regular day with some strange events. Liam sits down next to me and wraps an arm around me. I rest my head on his shoulder and close my eyes.

"Wake up sleepy head" Liam says while shaking me awake. "Hmmm what?" I groan. "Ryleigh had her baby c'mon" He says. I take his hand and walk with him into Ryleigh's hospital room. I see Harry holding the baby. Niall walks over to me. "She's gorgeous" He whispers as we look over at the baby. "Just like you" He says. I smile and lean against his chest. He kisses my head. I look over at Ryleigh who is sound asleep. "We're gonna go get some food if you guys wanna come." Zayn says. Everyone leaves except for me and Harry. "She has your eyes" I tell Harry quietly. "Yea I guess so" He says. "You'll be fine Harry. You'll be the father that every kid wants." I tell him. "Do you mind I think I'm gonna head back home and get some sleep. Just tell Ryleigh that I was tired and I'll be back tonight" He says. "Sure thing" I tell him. He smiles and hands over the baby. "Hey, Harry what's her name?" I ask. "Darcy, Darcy Rae" He says and smiles at her. "Go home, Harry. You look like a zombie" I laugh. He smiles and gives me a small hug. "Thanks Ary, I owe you one" He says and kisses Darcy's forehead. He smiles at me and walks out of the room. "Hey baby girl" I whisper to Darcy. "Welcome to the world. You know you have the best parents in the world. I would do anything to have them." I tell her. I feel some strong arms wrap around my waist. "Where's Harry?" Niall whispers in my ear. "He went home to get some sleep." I tell him. Niall kisses my cheek. "What do you mean that you would do anything to have Darcy's parents?" He asks. "I told you everything in the car don't you understand?" I ask. "Right sorry" He says. "Hey tonight you wanna kick back and watch a movie?" I ask. "Sure besides it's my night for the movie room anyway" He says. "Hey guys......uh where's Harry?" Louis asks. Niall lets go of me and I turn around. "He went home to get some sleep." I tell him. Louis nods and walks over to me. "Can I hold her?" He asks. "Sure" I tell him and hand him Darcy. I wrap my arms around Niall. "Hey guys" I look up and see Harry. "I thought you were going home to get some sleep" I say. "I couldn't leave either of them here" He says and looks at Ryleigh. I give him a smile. "Do you wanna stay or go?" Niall whispers in my ear. "Go" I whisper back. "We're gonna go mate" Niall says and pats Harry on the shoulder. "Bye Harry" I say quietly and give him a hug. Niall takes my hand and we walk out of the room. "So what movie we gonna watch?"Niall asks. "I don't know" I tell him. We walk into the elevator and press the button for the lobby. As soon as we reach the lobby Niall drags me out. "Hey Ary" Liam says walking out of the cafeteria. "Hey, big brother what's up?" I ask. "Mom's on the phone you wanna say hi?" He asks. I hesitate for a moment before shaking my head and walking away. Niall catches up with me and wraps his arms around me. We walk out of the hospital and back to the car. "You should've said hi to her.....it's her birthday Ary" Niall says. "I didn't want to ok!" I yell at him and get in the car. "Sorry, I'm sorry ok"He says after getting in the car. "Just go home" I tell him. I look out the window so Niall won't see my tears. Today Darcy was born. On my mom's birthday. I don't want Darcy to ever know that. I want to be everything to Darcy. I want her to call me Auntie Ary. I'm going to make sure that her life isn't like mine. I mean sure I have the most perfect boyfriend and brother and friends but still. I know that I'm not her mother or anything I don't want to be, Ryleigh's her mom. "Ary, we're home" Niall says quietly. I unbuckle my seatbelt and open the door. "Ary!" Niall yells as I dash for the house. I can feel him chasing after me. What am I doing? This could be the happiest day in the world but I'm making it some sort of sob fest. I stop at our room and slide down the wall. "Hey, hey"Niall says and sits down next to me. "Niall you are the only one that hasn't left me and if you were planning to you would always at least try to see if I could come along. Liam left and I realize that he's living his dream but he was the only person in my family that cared. My parents never cared and I don't want that for Darcy. I mean with Harry being famous and always singing and going on tour he'll be busy. Wait tour you'll leave too" I say and lean against his chest. Niall says nothinng he just hugs me. "Tour won't be for a while it's alright I'm here now." He says. "Niall, I love you and I never want to let you go" I tell him. "I love you too Ary, and I'll never let you go" He says. I look up at him and kiss him. He slides his arms under me and picks me up. "You need some sleep Miss. Payne" Niall says. "When do you think I'll become Mrs. Horan" I ask sleepily. Niall looks down at me and smiles. "Someday, someday soon"He says. I smile and close my eyes. Someday, someday soon.
