Hey guys again this is unedited so please bear with me through all the spelling and grammatical mistakes I am sure to make. Thanks!
Told from Athena's point of view
I had just had the longest day ever. So many bad things have happened that if I tried to list them all I would have to write a book. Not to mention the fact that it's my birthday and none of my friends remembered. I didn't expect them to, we haven't been friends for all that long, but for some reason it still hurt when they forgot.
I opened the door to Ace and I's apartment to find all the lights off. That's odd, usually Ace turns them on when he gets home. I heard noises coming from the kitchen, and immediately tensed.
My hand flashed to my sidearm without me having to think about it. I pulled it out slowly, careful not to make any noise, and walked cautiously towards the kitchen.
I nudged the door open, poking my gun through first, to find...Tav in an apron? Covered in what looked like hot pink frosting? I shook my head. I had to be seeing things, Tav was still at Enforce HQ. But I couldn't deny the flour covering every surface in the kitchen except Tav, including Ace, Saph, Avidita, and Sharp? What the hell was he doing here?
"Dammit guys!" That was most definitely Tav. "The recipe says one cup not the whole bag!" I laughed, but somehow no one noticed my presence.
"We are supposed to be making a cake, not some science experiment gone wrong!" That was Tav again, and this time I could see him waving a kitchen knife around while he talked.
"Well, maybe, if you actually helped instead of sitting on your lazy ass, it would be!" Ace was sassing Tav, and I couldn't help praying he got out of it alive.
"I am helping! I'm doing all the work, trying to make sure you idiots don't mess up Athena's cake, but you're all too stupid for me to help!" I laughed again, and marveled at the state the kitchen was in. I thought it was just flour, but now I could see the splattered dough surrounding a mixing bowl, the cake mix covering the counter tops, and the only thing seemingly untouched - a neat bowl of hot pink frosting.
Tav pointed his knife at Saph. "I left you in charge of mixing the dough, and look where it is! I don't know where the dough stops and the counters begin!" He left Saph to gape and moved on to Ace. "I told you to pour the mix into the bowl and I'm surprised there's enough to make dough after what you spilled all over the counter." He turned to Av. "And you! I don't know what you did wrong but I'm sure there's something."
Sharp was the only one who hadn't been yelled at, and he pointed to his bowl to prove he was capable of doing something right.
Tav turned to examine the frosting and immediately turned a bright red. "WHAT IS THIS!" He turned back to Sharp, who I now noticed was wearing Gifted cuffs. "I SAID A LIGHT PINK! THE FROSTING WAS SUPPOSED TO BE A LIGHT FLUFFY PINK, NOT SOME NASTY HOT PINK!" Tav paused to dip his finger in and taste it. "IT EVEN TASTES LIKE HAWT PINK!"
Tav fell to the ground and started twitching, right when I was about to go in and calm him down. After watching him for a minute I walked into the room, then decided that it wasn't worth it and walked back out. "Athena, hi!" Ace called, but I had already walked out to go buy a cake for Tav.
