Warning! Double Trouble Ahead

Chapter 16: Rough Day

Ciksura's text had made Fachan glance around quickly, getting a confused look from Enzo. He turned back to the buff man and gave a small laugh, his hand going to the back of his neck in a nervous habit. "Thought I heard someone call my name."

Enzo shook his head with his own small smile, handing the newly bought ticket to the person in front of them. Fachan had chosen an aquarium, the building enticing him the second he had seen it. When he saw Enzo watching a cartoon about animals, he figured the male would enjoy his time here, which was correct when he saw the smile on the shorter's face.

They walked in and Enzo quickly began walking towards an arrow on the floor, Fachan easily keeping pace because of his long legs though the stitches were bothered by it slightly. He was never one to care for his injuries much, but he knew that if anything were to happen to the stitches Enzo would be mad. "Hey, short stuff, slow down some you have an injured person with you and the animals aren't going anywhere anytime soon."

The male stopped and caused them to bump together, forcing an overdramatized response from the taller. Enzo smiled more and gave a hidden laugh, grabbing onto him. "Stop being a baby, I know they can't hurt that much, but you're right I do need to slow down some. I'm just so excited."

"So am I, but we got all day." His smile made Enzo smile and they were soon admiring some small fish, the colors and designs of each making Enzo get close to the glass but not remove himself from Fachan, something the taller was slightly grateful for.

His plan for today was to get as close to Enzo as the shorter would let him, and so far, he figured he was at a great start. The person following them would be a nuisance for some time and he was trying to push the anger he felt down to the back of his mind. He would be enjoying his alone time with Enzo today, not dwelling on the slight problem his ignorance had caused.

His goal was to get Enzo so comfortable with him that he would be allowed to take the smaller to his and Kali's place, the building always filled with noise.

Enzo sat on the couch with his new plushy in hand, Fachan sitting in the loveseat with a bottle of pain killers. Enzo had become filled with excitement when they arrived at the shark portion of the aquarium, the male always loving the sight of the creatures. He had dragged the taller from one glass to the other, making small comments or jokes which made Fachan laugh after he should not have.

The stitches would be fine for the most part, it was just his skin pulling with each laugh that had caused the pain to start spreading once more. "Do I have to take these?" He whined, sitting back and then scrunching his face up from the movement.

Enzo looked at him with a deadpanned face, wondering what would be stopping the man from not feeling pain. "Yes, dummy. And don't even try the puppy dog look like you did in the store, it won't work twice in one day." He looked back to the television and gently set the stuffed animal next to him, his ears vaguely picking up the sound of the pills moving.

The next day he woke up to his alarm blaring at him, Cosby giving him the normal stare from the love seat. He groaned and sat up, rubbing his eyes before yawing. He then started his normal routine, making sure to go quieter once he entered his room seeing as how Fachan was still sleeping. Ciksura hadn't been back last night and Enzo almost cursed himself for being so worried.

They didn't live together. Enzo was simply making sure Fachan's stitches were fine, yet he still felt a little disappointed when the younger didn't come back.

He grabbed his satchel and went for the door, fixing his shirt some before Cosby eagerly followed. He looked down and smiled at the big puppy, opening the door and soon leaving the complex. He had a few papers he had to turn into Jada before going up to his office so as the two walked he double checked that they were in his bag.
