Months passed and neither man had been the same. Ciksura, the male that vowed to never get feelings for another, hadn't left his office. His insomnia got worse and he was on the brink of exhaustion. He would sleep three hours a week and barely ate, though he supposed it was his own fault for getting attached.

Fachan was almost worse. He had stopped doing jobs himself and made sure to pay his workers extra. His smile didn't have the same lightness to it and he no longer bounced as he walked. Anyone he passed would drop their own smile when looking at him and soon the whole base was low on moral.

Many had tried to cheer them both up but none had ever succeeded. They weren't aware of what had happened and none had the balls to ask, although Joshua felt like he knew. Ever since the ball he had kept tabs on the male he tried to get a tip from. He noticed how the twins would always go to his place or be out in public with him, it was strange at first but he knew better than to interfere.

His bosses were somehow easier to deal with ever since they met him. Ciksura was still pissed off twenty-six eight but he let some things slide. Fachan would make more jokes or give out some of the food he brought to work. Now both were almost zombies.

He asked around but got nowhere and knew he had to go to the only person he could, the man that somehow broke their hearts. It wasn't his place to do anything, but low moral meant low work effort and that hurt everyone, so he had to fix the problem.

He talked his group into it but only two others agreed to join him completely, the others just said they would keep tabs on their bosses to make sure everything went smoothly. One slip up of what they were doing and all knew just how dead they would be. Ciksura was sure to allow Fachan to cut them open and feel no remorse for it.

They decided to do it on a Friday, all knowing the male's schedule thanks to Joshua. They had no idea how it would go and wasn't even sure if they would get any information, but they all knew they had to try before their entire operation went to shambles.

Enzo sat at his desk with an earbud in, his music finally staying on one genre. His smile was small as he took the papers from Reed's hands, the man still suspicious of his friend even if he was told there was nothing wrong.

Enzo was able to pretend he was ok after Louise had helped him. He went to work the next day as though nothing was wrong and no one questioned him. Louise tried to force him to stay home but the man left no room for arguments. He was broken inside but that couldn't stop him from doing his work.

Cosby has gotten used to his old routine once more although Enzo would notice the dog staring longingly at his toys. He tried to do what Fachan had done with the beast but both knew it wasn't the same. Cosby appreciated his human's efforts but couldn't find it in himself to be as excited.

His plants had even began to droop some more. Kata had offered to help with it but no matter what they did they continued to stay low. He thanked her for her efforts and they would text from time to time, but he only wanted to talk to two people.

His phone rang and he put on a bigger smile, already moving to the calendar to check for meetings. "This is Enzo Lankes from Flanes Inc, how may I assist your call?" He signed a paper before pushing it off to the side, fixing his grip on the phone and turning down his own music.

There was rustling on the other end before a voice came through. "Hi, is there a possibility that I could speak to your boss? I have a complaint about a product I received." The voice was a guy's but it sounded young, like a highschooler maybe, but the professionalism threw him off. Some teenagers could pull it off, but that usually wasn't when a complaint was being made.
