The villagers all looked up as a horn sounded nearby. One long note came, and then a shorter, higher note. The people standing in the street quickly moved out of the way as two large wolves with teenage boys on their backs came running down the hill towards the village. They skidded to a stop in the town square and the boys leaped off. They unloaded the contents of their satchels into a red bin and replaced them with some of the packages from a blue bin next to it. Then a woman came forward with a small, freshly baked loaf of bread. She handed it to the boys who split it in half. "Thank you!" the taller boy said, as his friend took a bite and nodded his thanks.

The lady smiled. "No problems." She replied. One of the wolves growled and the boys jogged back to them. After swallowing their last bite of bread they set off again. The townspeople stayed out of their way as they took off. In a few minutes, the wolves and riders had disappeared from sight, leaving no evidence that they had been there apart from the dust in the road.
