"You sure this'll work?" Ivan asked me when I presented the akuma necklace with a silver ladybug with rubies as spots. A smile reached my lips as I admired my handiwork.
"I can assure you. This will work." I said as I placed it in a pink box with a red ribbon and a note that Mylene helped me write.
My plan was to give the necklace to Marinette, thinking it was from Luka. This would allow Madama Butterfly to control her as Ladybug and retrieve the remaining Miraculous, including her own.
"If this does work, then the Ladybug Miraculous will be ours." Nathalie said with a smirk.
"Perhaps we'll be rid of Nightrunner and Midnight Angel." Alya said.
"Yeah. We'll let Lady Misfortune deal with them." Oliver added with a smirk.
Callum POV
I snapped a roundhouse kick at a thug, knocking him into a wall, and evaded his partner's attempt to grab me from behind, punching him in the jaw for good measure. As another tried to pin me down, a crescent moon dart knocked him out cold.
"Thanks, Ames." I said, giving my girlfriend the thumbs up and earning a friendly salute from her.
After we defeated all the thugs and left them for the police, we went to the roof to catch our breath.
"Phew. What a night." I said.
"Yeah. The others are missing out." Amy said as she pulled down her hood.
"Give them a rest. They need it after what happened last month." I replied as I rubbed my gloved knuckles.
Last month, Chat Blanc and his crew escaped from prison and obtained the Miracle Box and have been attacking us with akumas and sometimes participated in fighting us. With everything that is going on, Marinette and the others needed all the rest they can get, while Amy and I took their place to keep Paris safe.
"Oh, I just remembered. Tomorrow's Valentine's Day." I said.
"Yeah. I almost forgot about that. I have something for you." Amy replied
"Same here." I said as I reached for my utility belt and pulled out a silver ring with a ruby red rose while Amy took out a bracelet with a black and silver bat on it.
"This is for you." We both said at the same time and laughed at our embarrassment.
"Sorry. You first." I said.
"No, you first." Amy replied .
I place the silver rose ring on Amy's finger. She gasped in shock.
"Cal, how did you-?"
"I saved up a lot of money and did a few errands for Marrinette's parents. Also, Chloe did give me some after she made me clear out her store room last week." I said.
Amy was still in shock from the ring.
"Do you like it?" I asked.
"I love it, Cal. Thank you." She said and hugged me. I hugged her back and noticed the bat necklace around my neck.
"Ames, this is amazing." I said, looking at the necklace.
"My mother helped me out." She said, blushing.
"Thanks a lot. I'll treasure this for the rest of my life. And you." I replied.
"Same here." She replied as she pulled up my mask and kissed me on the lips.
"Are you two done? We got school tomorrow?" Chloe's voice said in our earpieces.
"Way to ruin the moment, Chloe" I said.
"Don't tell me you're still made at the fact I made you clear out the store room for 30 euros?" She asked.
I sighed and hung up on her.
"See you tomorrow." Amy said and kissed me one last time before leaving.
"Yeah. See you." I replied and made my way home.
