Bubbly Popcorn Day:

-Maia-

I walk across the street to Tess's house. I knock on the door.

"If it's a robber named Maia Rose Benson, there's 50 bucks under the microwave." I hear someone say.

I open the door and set down my bag. "Got homework?"

"Course." Tess says and runs her fingers through her blonde hair.

"I got math and science. You?" I ask and point to her bag.

"Science and english." Tess answers and grabs her homework and I grab mine.

"Well this should be fun." I say sarcastically.

"Well, whoever gets done first has to grab the popcorn and bubbles." She challenges.

"Oh you're on!" I yell and begin working on my work.

~Two Hours Later~

I finish first. "Tess, get the popcorn and the bubbles. It's bubbly popcorn day!"

"Fine." Tessa groans and runs to the bathroom to get the bubbles.

I go to her kitchen and grab the popcorn and dig through the cabinets for the popcorn. "Found it!" I say to myself as I find the popcorn and put in the microwave. "Oh! Yeah! It's time for popcorn made out of bub-" I sing and turn around to see Tessa clapping.

"Wow!" She whistles.

"Shut up!" I shriek as the popcorn finishes.

"Ok! The bubbles are outside. Popcorn is done!" Tess says and grabs my hand as she drags through the front door.

"Tess, what is bubbly popcorn day without the popcorn!!" I say rudely and run to kitchen and grab the popcorn.

"Ok! Let's go!" We yell at the same time and run outside.

"Can you two quiet down?! I'm having a party." Tessa's neighbor, Bryce Peterson - the school's golden guy - yells.

"Oh, shut it, Peterson!" Tessa yells as she grabs the bubbles and I grab the popcorn.

"Um...Tessa, Bryce is coming over with friends and they have water balloons!!" I yell as Bryce and his gang of friends come into Tess's front yard.

"Get out! We have water guns!" Tessa yells as she throws me a water gun full of water and bubble solution.

"Bubble water guns!" I yell and shoot Bryce.

"Hey! Maia!" Bryce yells and he laughs.

"Oh and Peterson?" I ask.

"Yeah?" Bryce looks at me.

"Don't ruin another one of our bubbly popcorn days!" And with that I spray all of them in the face and Tessa and I stalk off.
