Golden Guy Gets In Trouble With The Besties:

-Tessa-

I glance down the hallway.

"Clear?" Maia asks.

"No sign of him." I say.

"No sign of who?" A voice says from behind Maia and I.

"Bryce." I start and look at Maia.

"Peterson." Maia finishes.

"Well we have a question." One of Bryce's friends says. His name is Dylan.

"Dylan." I say.

"Would date you Bryce?" Dylan asks me.

I smirk. "I'd be dead before I'm around these halls with him." Bryce looks scared.

"Peterson, go cry to your mommy!" Maia says.

"About you two just shut up!"
Bryce says out of nowhere.

"You just have leave us alone." I exclaim.

"Never." Dylan hisses and folds his hands into fists.

"You'd never punch a girl!" Maia snickers.

"Yeah, I would!" Dylan says and takes a step closer to Maia.

"Cut it out!" I say and push them apart. All of a sudden I feel a harsh burning sensation in my nose.

"Dylan!" Maia yells and rushes to my side.

"Dylan, that is a freaking girl you just punched." Bryce says and pushes Dylan up against a locker.

"Like I care!" Dylan sneers in Bryce's face.

"C'mon let's get you to the nurse." Maia says and I put my hand to my nose and look at my hand only to find covered in blood.

"It hurts." I whine.

"It's okay. By the way you're crying." Maia says and just then I realize hot tears are streaming down my face.

Maia leads me towards the office. She knocks on the door. The bookkeeper looks up. "It's open!" She says and Maia opens the door.

"Is the nurse in?" Maia says.

"Yes. Why do you need to see her?" The bookkeeper ask narrowing her eyes at me.

"Some....one.....punched...me...." I choke out and wheeze.

"Oh god! Well get there!" The bookkeeper says.

"I'll tell her what happened and you go to the nurse." Maia says and I nod my head. I walk in to the nurse's office.

"What do you need?" The nurse says annoyed.

"Punched." I wince and sit down on the plastic chair.

"Oh god." She spins around in her chair. "Just by looking at it....Miss Johnson, I believe it most likely is broken." That sends me into another wave of tears.

"Hey! How is she?" Maia stands in the doorway and cringes when she sees me.

"My mom?" I ask and wipe my tears.

"She's on her way." Maia smiles. "Dylan is getting suspended and Bryce is asking for you. He said he was sorry."

"Ok." I mumble and walk into the main office.

"Hey Tessa." Bryce says when he sees me.

"Hi." I murmur.

"I'm sorry." He says. He starts to cry a little.

"Don't cry. It's not your fault. It's that jerk friend of yours." I manage to smirk a little.

"I'm happy you're mad at Dylan, not me." Bryce chuckles.

"I'm very mad at you." I joke.

"Oh." He says sadly.

"I'm joking. Even in a bad mood, I'm still awesome." I say causing him to smile.

"Do you start over and become friends?" He asks.

"Sure." I say and stick out my hand.

"I'm Bryce Peterson." He shakes my hand.

"Tessa-Grace Johnson. Call me Tess or Tessa." I say.
