Chapter 8

Sky POV:

All our activities got over by 5.30 PM and since we were very hungry, we went to the college cafeteria and had drinks. After that, I went to the café to start my first day of part time job.

Since it was a working day especially since it is the first day for fresher the café is unusually crowded. I went inside the café looking for P'Joe, I went near the kitchen counter but I could not find him.

Thinking his faculty might still be doing the activities I went to one of the worker in the kitchen counter and said about me newly joining the café and P'Joe asked me to start from today. The worker introduced herself as Deepu, an Indian student doing her 2nd year in our university.

P'Deepu asked for my name and I introduced myself as Sky a fresher from Chiang Mai. Later she asked me to come inside the dress changing room, gave my uniform, and asked me to change myself and she headed outside the room.

After changing my uniform, I headed into the kitchen to meet P'Deepu, and then P'Deepu introduced me to other workers in the café. Later P'Deepu asked me to start my working my first memorizing the menu and then by cleaning the table.

She assigned P'Jack to assist me during my training period. Jack helped me in memorizing the menu by telling me what ingredients we use for the dishes in the menu. I took a note of everything in a notepad and tried to memorize them.

I asked P'Jack why the café is unusually crowded today. He said that since its fresher's first day we could expect our handsome owner to come to the café. So people have crowded here just to look at him. I was wondering how handsome our owner would be for people to gather this much and make the café flooded.

After 2 hours of work, P'Joe came to the café and is immediately surrounded by the fans who were present in the café waiting for our handsome owner.

"P'Joe where is P'Dew and P'James? Why aren't they with you?" asked one of the student who was present in the café.

"They are still in the university cleaning up the stuffs left after the event. Since I heard that the café is unusually crowded I came here to help my workers," answered P'Joe while asking the crowd to make way for him to enter the café.

P'Joe went looking for P'Jack and P'Deepu to help them in the kitchen and to know about any issues in the café. After discussing with them, P'Joe went to do his job and help other workers.

Since the owner did not show up even after an hour, the crowd started to disperse and the café was now almost empty leaving only those seniors doing their projects. P'Joe noticed me and came towards me. I greeted P'Joe and he greeted back.

"How was your first day at work? Did the P's take good care of you?" asked P'Joe while looking at other P's

"Yes P' they were all very supportive and helped me to know about the menu and main ingredients used" I said by smiling at him.

"That's good then if you have any doubts or queries do reach out to other workers for help and if you have any other issue related to workers or café then feel free to reach out to me I will try my best to help you" P'Joe said

I just smiled at him nodding at him as a response to what he said. Later I went to continue my work. Since it was already past 9 few workers went on break to have their dinner. I waited for my turn to have dinner. Later P'Joe came to me and handed me my food.

I looked at him with confused look and took the food he provided me. P'Deepu and P'Jack joined us for dinner and we all 4 had some little chitchats while having our dinner. After having dinner, we all got back to do our job.

It was already past 10 so I went to P'Joe to ask him if I can leave for the day. I could not find P'Joe so I informed P'Deepu and went to the dressing room to change. After changing I was about to leave the café, I found this familiar tall figure walking into the café along with P'Joe and one more person.

Just the sight of this person already irritates me. Therefore, I just ignored him and waved goodbye to P'Joe who was walking few steps away from this person. I was least interested to know this person's reaction.

P'Joe stopped me and handed me a bag of sweets and snacks that he had brought for the workers.

"What is this P'Joe?" I asked him with a confused face.

"Oh this is for the workers. Today you all did a great job" said the person who was walking beside P'Joe carrying few more bags.

I looked at him and waived at him and also thanks P'Joe and his friend and introduced myself to him.

"Oh I'm P'Dew, Nong Sky it was nice meeting you. Keep up your good work. Do reach out to P'Joe if you face any issues" P'Dew said by tapping on my shoulders.

"What are you guys doing here? Not distributing the food that we brought?" an irritated voice sounded behind me.

"I'm just introducing myself to N'Sky and giving him the food we brought," answered P'Dew walking past me. I turned back to look at the owner of that irritated voice.

"He is P'James, N'Sky. He is the own" P'Joe was suddenly stopped by P'James. We all looked at him in a confused way. He just dragged P'Joe and P'Dew along with him inside the café.

I could only curse at him in my mind and leave the café carrying the food that P'Joe gave.
